Read More I have had my table since REI first started selling them, several years ago. It is showing some wear and tear due to frequent use, but it is still fully functional. When erected, it is very stable, but it flexes enough to accommodate uneven ground. I normally have my coffee pot, stove, and dishes on it, so it gets pretty crowded at times. But it's easy to pick up with everything on it, to move it under the vestibule of my tent--either for weather or when I leave the campsite, because I prefer to stow things out of sight. -

The end caps of the table slat fall out easily. a bit of tape or a spot of glue solves this. Other than that, it's a good camp table and capable of handling a bit of weight and sturdy for chopping and cutting food duties (with a cutting board of course). -

Read More For comparison I own an Alps Mountaineering XL Roll Top table. The Alps table has aluminum, non-adjustable legs. The table top rolls (folds) and the individual slats aren't rectangular tubes but rather rectangular tubes with the bottom sides cut out. Wish i could explain the shape of the slats better but that's the best I can do. The slats are held together with elastic and we've used the table infrequently because of it's size. The table feels wobbly but its functional and has come in handy. Too often, we just need a smaller table as an assist to the large tables we find at the campgrounds we frequent. The Alps table was basically all aluminum construction with chromed metal hardware and plastic bits. First let me state the current description for this table is, in part, wrong. The legs are painted steel. Unless aluminum has suddenly gained the ability to become magnetized, all four legs are steel. I'll go one step further and state that the braces are also steel. The slats are held together with elastic but are true rectangular tubes (4 sides). The crossbars that support the shape of the base and support the slats are also steel with plastic end caps. The slats are a natural, unpainted, flat aluminum color and the steel parts are all painted a dark glossy gun-metal. The table feels solid and was easy to assemble. We plan to place our small Weber gas grill and 2-burner propane stove on it, depending upon our cooking situation. The slats are a 27.5 inches each direction and the table is 27 inches tall. That being said, I was very disappointed to find out the legs are steel. I prefer aluminum for rust resistance and weight. I'm hesitating sending then back. We need a small table like this but for the price of 2 of these tables on sale I can only buy one of the newer version with the aluminum legs. Maybe I'll return one. Who knows. I would recommend this product if you know what you're getting.
Read More I have had one of these tables for over two years and recently purchased a second for more room. They're perfect for car camping. Outside of the usual wear and tear on the table top, my 2 year old table is in just as good shape as the newer. I haven't had any problems with them. A coleman two burner stove fits comfortably on this with a little room to spare.
