Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Reliable I have owned these shoes for over two months and have worn them on every ride since then. They're solid and transfer power to the pedals nicely. I will regularly need to carry my bike, and the shoes are comfortable enough to do a little hiking in. I ride about 150 miles per week, and they've held up quite well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic shoes for new cyclers I'm a women & bought these shoes because they don't seem to carry 44 women's in stores. These shoes are not wide & fit great. The bottom is rock solid & I no longer have foot pain in spinning class. Really love them & are reasonably priced for cycling shoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Cheap Shoe If you are just looking to get out in a clip-less shoe why not these? A no frills entry level option that has decent treds for dirt on mtb trails but with the cleat far enough recessed that walking on tile in the spin room doesn't make click clack noises

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shoes As a rookie to clipping in, these are the first pair of actual bike shoes I have purchased. They work great with the clips I have and appear to be easier to walk in than several of the other shoes I see other bikers wobbling around in. The Velcro straps are fast and secure and the shoes are comfortable enough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Power loss on the upstroke due to lack of strap The shoe is really well made and comfortable, but there is a noticeable loss of power on the up stroke caused by not having a third strap across the top. I returned the shoe and purchased the Shimano RP3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheaper yet better Had bought a more expensive version of the ship Mono bike shoes, but the shoelaces wore out and the shoes hurt my feet. These are a little softer and more comfy. Plus they have grip on the bottom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Enough Sizes I tried a Euro 45 and 46; neither fit well enough, and REI doesn't stock half sizes, which is weird. Returned, and continued shopping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad shoe The shoe was narrow and cut my circulation off. I returned it for a different shoe that fit better

Will a clip touch the ground before the other parts of the shoe? I want shoes that I can walk in. I am not concerned about what the shoes look like, but pictures of the bottom of the shoe from an angle at the very least please and thank you.

Asked by: BikeNick
The clips on the M065 Mountain Bike Shoes are recessed so you will not be high centered on the cleat when you walk. There is a chance that the cleat could slightly make contact with the ground depending on how your foot felxes in the shoe and the terrain that you walking on.

Do I need to buy a separate part to connect the shoe to the pedal?

Asked by: Catherine
Yes, you will have to buy cleats to attach to these shoes, unless you are purchasing pedals at the same time. For our cleat selection, please follow the link below: https://www.rei.com/c/cycling-shoe-cleats
