Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Spin Class Easier I am new to spin, at age 65! I tried the class a couple of times and aside from the hard seat I enjoy it. I decided to get mountain bike shoes and SPD clips. I went to REI and the young man who helped me was great. I was fortunate there was a sale on the shoes; he didn't recommend the costliest ones. I tried them on and that was it. I have used them in class a couple of times and they make a HUGE difference. It's much easier to push down and pull up and I feel they keep me from turning my knees in or out. I also feel more secure standing. I think they are great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OUCH!!! I wanted to love these so badly. I have worn them now for about two months and I just can't make them work. I ride as a commuter about 20miles round trip a day. I love they way they look with normal pans cleat doesn't make a ton of noise and I can run an errand and not feel silly. But.... My toes are SQUISHED! I have tired different socks, change the Velcro tighness but it's bad. My foot is not a large foot or wide. I wear a 40 shoe in everything and if anything slightly down 39.5. This is WAY to small. I am so bummed out. Size up!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs Small! Product Runs a size or size and a half small!! I ordered a size 38 and could barely get my entire foot inside the shoe. Perhaps order a size or two up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product! I bought these shoes to start a journey as group fitness instructor for a cycling class! I am very pleased with them so far. Easy to clip in and out. They fit very well. They are made very well, and the material seems to be strong!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike shoes These shoes work well with the crank brothers pedals. My dress shoe size in usa is 8.5. I like to wear 9 regular in all my athletic shoes for the extra room in the toe box. I went to the manufacturer website and used their scale for shoe size which seemed slightly different than the normal euro sizes. I chose 41 for these shoes and they fit great even with more narrow toe box. I have plenty of room for my feet to swell from riding. I don't mind walking in these shoes but would not use them for any distance walking with the cleats I attached to the sole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable fit and performance Shoes are easy open/close. Tongue can get caught when putting on, but a small tug is all it takes to get the right foot feel.

Some of the reviews say these run a size or two small. Is this still the issue and if so, is it one size or two size difference? I wear a size 10, can you advise to which size should I order? Cheers!

Asked by: designgeargeek
Yes, these are really shoes you have to try on first! I wear a 9.5-10 in a street shoe and have to wear the size 43 in these! So don't go by what you think you wear; go by what fits in the store.

Will I need anything besides cleats for these shoes? Do they come with mounting plates? Are the soles recessed so one can walk in them once cleats are installed?

Asked by: Spinnermom
The only other item you need to purchase with these shoes is the cleats. The cleats will be slightly recessed into sole making it easier to walk around.
