I’ve only spent two nights in the tent, both were in my own woods to test it out. The first night was fairly cold, mid 50s. It felt clammy after a few hours, but I was dry. I had the tail end just a tad higher than the front. I ended up just turning around and sleeping with my feet to the door. I was amazed at how comfortable it was!! It was setup over uneven ground, but I had cleared sticks and brambles, in case it fell. Setting it up was really quite easy. The rain fly fit it snugly. Once I undid the fly to get some air flow, I discovered that the fly would not go back on. I had only released the front and flipped it back to expose the mess sides. Nothing I did would get the fly to seal up the front corners. I finally got it battened down best as I could and used another fly to cover the ends. I figured rain would run down the inside of the corners right to me. I contacted Tentsile and they sent me another fly immediately. I still have the same issues with it. It just does not seem to have enough material in it to cover all three connect points. A couple of months later, a friend stayed so we could test it with two people. We had a combined weight of around 400lbs. There is a tensioning strap down the center of the tent and that kept us apart. She was amazed at how comfortable it was too. We just had two blankets with us and were plenty warm with it around 62. Not trusting the fly, I also had a tarp over the top, pegged out to the sides to allow ventilation. The two Malamutes lounged under the tent. I love the tent, it sleeps so nice! I do not love the fly! I would be very leery of trusting the fly on an actual camping trip. I hope Tentsile listens to people and comes up with a better design for the fly. Despite the fly folly, I would not give up this tent! It is heavier because of the ratchets and straps, but so worth not sleeping on the ground! I would trade off something else to compensate for the extra weight. I have heard of people learning how to setup the tent with just one ratchet, which would cut down considerably on weight! I think that would be a well-practiced art. Four stars only because of the rain fly.

I bought the Connect tent this year specifically for a long kayak trip in SE Alaska, where there are plenty of trees but not many spots for a traditional tent. Tested it two nights before we went. Spent 15 nights out in Alaska, setting it up 12 different times. Without a doubt, the most comfortable night's sleep ever. Inside is spacious and so lovely to be higher off the ground. My partner outweighs me by at least 100 pounds, and we slept with our bags zipped together. It took a bit of fussing to get the set up right where we weren't either falling into or away from each other. The ground where we camped is so uneven, having a laser range finder was the ticket to quickly determining the which trees were the right distance from each other and where the straps needed to go to create a flat plane. However, there were some problems: the first fly that came with the tent had a material defect and absolutely did not fit the tent. Tentsile did a great job of rush delivering another fly before the trip. The wrong color was sent (and they corrected that when I was back in town). The fly we took did not seem to fit on any set up. It would not cover all three vertices and it sagged in the middle. During one storm we ended up with large puddles of water inside. I was told by Tentsile, when I returned, that the fit was due to setting it up wrong, rather than any problem with the fly size. We put on the fly every single night. It's hard to imagine we got the set up wrong so many times. I have not had a chance to try the latest fly but I'm not at all convinced the fit problem is due to the set up. At the end of the trip, the tent showed considerable wear and tear. The white coating underneath the tent was completely worn off in spots, the edges were frayed, the zippers buckled. We put this tent to the test, but for the money, I expect much less wear after 14 uses. I took many detailed notes and photos, and I am happy to give Tentsile and REI more details about wear and tear and suggestions for design modifications. Cool rating = 5 stars Comfort rating = 5 stars Ease of set up = 2 stars Durability = 1.5 stars Fly fit = 1 star

Bought the connect for my wife because of her bad back. Fell in love with it right off the bat, like sleeping on a cloud. Once we got the hang of stretching the front outward like a Y instead of a T everything was perfect and the rainfly fit like a glove. The only thing that is subjectively a down side would be using it in a campground. Every other camper stopped to check it out and ask questions. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for more comfort than an air mattress or cot.

So I've been dreaming about owning this tent since it was first announced. I just received my dividend this month and was super excited to buy this tent. Putting it up was easy. I had it up and laying in the thing in 10 minutes max. My only issue and why I only gave 3 stars is the rain fly. I feel like it was just manufactured incorrectly. I tried and tried to get it to fit correctly but one side was just no long enough to wrap around like the instructions said. After many hours of really just trying to make it work we gave up. I rigged up my own tarp to keep the rain off us that night and it was wonderful. I still think this thing is awesome and would recommend if they can figure out the fly problem. I ended up returning because I just felt that spending this kind of money on a product should buy me some quality. Tent = A+, Rainfly = F. Hopefully they can figure out these issues. I will probably buy again because I really just want it to work!! Hopefully I just had a bad one.

Since no one else has reviewed the Tentsile Connect, I will be the first. We have owned the Tentsile Stingray for almost a year and love it - see my review. But ... when the Connect came out, I had to have it. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The Connect sleeps two people and their gear comfortably. You can also string a hammock underneath easily for storage or even to lay down on. As with the Stingray, it is really easy to set up once you have practiced a couple of times. Just find three trees and you have your site. No need for level ground. Take down is so easy and just takes a minute or two. The Stingray ladder also works so you can set up higher. What is so nice about this next generation Tentsile Connect is all the ways you can enter/exit and open it up. Just look at the pictures. We keep it open during the day if we are in the mountains (no/few bugs) and close it up at night with the fly. Our new favorite campsite is outside Blowing Rock, NC where we set up our Tentsile OVER a mountain stream. Listening to the rushing water under us while we sleep, nap, read, hang out is just this side of heaven.
