Read More I bought these for my daughter in a different color last year. I agree with the other reviewer that even with the elastic shoe laces it's still a bit hard to put on but I think it's the nature of ankle height boots. We encounter the same problem with the Hi-tec boots we bought for our other daughter. My 6 year old seems to like it but have out grown hers. I am planning on buying her another pair. She's 7 now but she still seems to find it easier to be able to pull on the cord instead of tying shoe laces. For longer hikes we usually help to make sure it's tight. -

Read More Just spent a week hiking in these boots. The elastic closure of this boot seemed like it would make it easier to get in and out of them, but the truth is that the elastic was so tight that my feet felt constantly squashed and were hurting during the entire trip. I would not recommend them

Read More Just bought for my daughter. I agree with the earlier reviewer. The ankle section of the boot is just too tight even with the laces fully extended. I could not get her foot into the footbed. Since the laces are just an elastic loop, there is not a way to loosen it more. Comparing her foot to the bottom of the shoe, she would have plenty of room if we could just get past the constricting ankle. Returning them.
