Read More I'll immediately admit that I chose this mattress pad for its light weight and packability, even if its primary purpose is for car camping. This fits perfectly in the back of my station wagon, though having the valve half-way up the side of the mattress is not the most ideal placement for this purpose. However, this mattress pad is light enough that I would consider using it for a warm-weather overnight trip with a cozy hiking partner and a two-person tarp or tent. When rolled up into its stuff sack, the mattress fits well into the bottom of a backpack. The need to charge the battery-powered pump or to spend a long time manually inflating the mattress would limit usefulness for a longer trip, though. I would not recommend using this mattress in cold weather, especially if one intends to use it alone. Having such a volume of air contained beneath you can let your body heat escape quickly through this mattress, though if two people are using the mattress then the extra body heat keeps the mattress from getting so cold. -

Read More I'm not one that rolls around at night and needs more than a twin bag/mattress/pad/etc. This seems bigger than my normal twin mattress at home. Although it took a while to inflate it stayed first through the night. It completely filled my two person tent. I think two people could really sleep on this if they were close to each other. Like any air mattress, the edges are softer and you could roll off that part. It packed smaller than my sleeping pad as it's an XL for my height. By smaller I mean it was squatter. The pad is long and bulky in its own way but this was easily portable for car camping and frankly something I may use again. Since it does take up the whole space though anything extra I brought in was in the very edges of the tent or on the mattress itself. I would recommend this. -
Jul 5, 2014You have what you expectIf you inflate it to the 0.1mpa (for example), you have exactly 0.1mpa after one week! I trust this mattress.
Read More this might be a very nice mattress. maybe even more comfortable than the REI version, but never even tried it. Once I realized that the only way to inflate this mattress was with a pump that had to be charged first for a minimum of 8s-12 hours , I didn't even want to mess with taking the rest of the mattress out of the packaging. I could just imagine, finally getting to the camp site, latter than expected, in bad weather, only to find the pump wasn't charged before…oops forgot! thats not the definition of a good nights sleep….why not provide a pump that can also work when plugged into an electrical source ? I just can't support that kind of impractical un-recoverable from engineering….every time i pump up my rei bed, though a bit of a pain, I'm thankful for it as opposed to what Id been in for with this bed and its stupid pump restriction...
