Read More I put the Nomad13 on the outside of my paradliding harness in flight. I have to keep three different flight instruments running on long cross country flights. I used to take big(!) power bars for energy support. The Nomad13 is of much help since it is able to charge multiple devices at once. And sometimes after long flights you end up in the middle of nowhere, where you really really need it. Good for XC-paragliders that the sun always shines when doing the sport ;) -

Being able to charge a lot of different devices is nice, you don't have to carry all those extra charging cord with you. you can take a lot of electronics with you, on a trip and you only need 1 charger. I'm going to order the sherpa 50 soon to get full use of solar power! I absolutely love these products!

Read More I am outfitting an expedition to Kilimanjaro & got the Goal Zero Switch 8 & this solar panel, the Nomad 7 because it is one of the smaller & lighter panels Goal Zero makes. I use this for everything from my IPhone & Garmen GPS to my DeLorme Explorer InReach satellite messenger. I have taken it on several test runs training in the mountains & it works flawlessly, even for a recon exploration in Iceland where it rained nearly everyday. The Nomad 7 stands up to wet weather well I am just careful to dry it off afterwards. It's main appeal to me is that it is light weight for altitude but gets the job done. -

Read More I wanted something rugged that could randomly charge smaller devices on my frequent trips domestically and overseas. A smaller foldable version of this designed for their speakers and for charging phones worked well but got lost on a trip. So glad to have this again. Very packable and/or hangable. Fingers crossed the voltaic cells are better and charge more efficiently in this version, too.
