Read More I bought two pari of these socks and after trying them out immediately bought two more. I have always been really susceptible to blisters and have tried various hiking socks with and without synthetic liners and silk liners but I always got blisters after a few miles. Needless to say, this diminished my hiking enjoyment. Since getting the Wright Socks I have't had a single blister. In fact, I wore regular socks one day, go the usual blister, switched back to Wrights and they kept it from getting any worse. I am definitely a believer.
Read More I bought three pairs (to take advantage of the package price) but only opened one pair. First issue is there is no heal padding! None! They're like a pair of dress socks at the heal. During hard backpacking, my heals take a pounding. I wore the socks one day and that was enough. Second, I don't know the design philosophy but the elastic in the ankle and up part of the sock is so strong, it took me almost 5 minutes to just get them on. They're worse than TED hose. The ad in Backpacker Mag looks and sounds great but these puppies are going back to REI!
