Rated 3 out of 5 by from leaks... I bought this from a outdoor store 2 back in March and I used it 3 times before I realized that laying on it's side it would leak from the mouth piece. I went on the products site to order a new cap, it came quickly and free of charge but this replacement all leaked the second I put it on. A friend has the same one that doesn't leak and they put on the cap to insure it wasn't human error but still leaked. Is there is a gasket that I can just slip into the cap or something? Over all, other than mildly leaking, it is a great product - nice to hold and drink from and seems to withstand a little abuse (I haven't tried anything intense to test it out).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks!! Bought this nearly half a year ago. It started out seemingly fine but it started to leak when it is not upright. I keep the bottle in my bag and when I hold my bag on my lap, water leaks out!! Luckily I havent had anything destroyed, except the cover of my planner. The bottle is closed tightly, tripled checked, but it still leaks when I shake it upside down (as a test). It is not leak proof!! I'm quite disappointed with the water bottle as I invested in a lot of time to find the right bottle for me. If it didnt leak, this bottle would get 5 stars, but I'm disappointed with the outcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't leak, easy to fill, fits in my pack I day hike with an Osprey Kestrel 38 pack (awesome BTW), and was looking for a new water bottle to put in the outside pocket. Criteria: easy to get in and out while hiking, holds a reasonably large volume of water, easy to clean, easy to fill with water and ice, easy to completely air dry so it won't mildew, lightweight, can be clipped to something if needed and finally - doesn't leak! The last criteria is basic but essential - I want/need to be able to drop it, put it on its side, put it upside down, horizontally, whatever and not have even a drop of water escape. Result - It has passed all the tests. I took an 8 mile hike this weekend and the bottle worked exactly as needed. My second choice was the Kleen Kanteen and it only lost out because of weight, but this Camelbak really works. Doesn't leak, doesn't accidentally pop open, easy to fill, fits in my bag. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bottle, finicky cap I got this as a replacement for one of my old water-bottles that bit the dust. I like the opening that's wide and slightly sculpted so that it's easier to drink from. Unlike a straw or bite-valve system, this requires two hands to manipulate properly to get at drink. The only thing that could use some work is the cap system. It works and does not leak when properly attached, but you do have to pay attention to what you're doing. The cap-leash is OK, but stiff enough that you have to hold it out of the way to drink. The cap-retainer notch in the handle is very fiddly to get the cap to latch in solidly. None of them are deal-breakers or serious issues, but, they could be designed a little better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding with a tweak Camelbak made the best water bottle ever and then nearly ruined it with a horrible cap leash design. Fortunately you can remove the leash completely.. That fixes everything that is inconvenient about this product. The cap will even snap easily into the retaining slot once freed from the leash, which also solves the problem about how not to lose the unleashed cap. You can now drink without the cap hitting your face, and it will stand in the dishwasher rack. A better leash could be made from cord if desired. The general design of a small cap within a large cap works great for easy, spill-free drinking and easy cleanup. I have been using this for many years via similar products from humangear and Embark. This Camelbak offering is the best implementation of it I have used or seen. The other designs with bite valves and/or straws, etc. present the problem with cleaning out the small internal spaces or accepting what may be growing inside. I highly recommend this bottle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Pros: Durable, handle makes it easy to carry or fits well in pack. I like the angle of the drinking spout and cap threading inside spout instead of outside. Cons: Requires two hands. The cap takes quite a bit of force to snap into the handle (perhaps this will get easier with more use)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from what I was looking for I've always liked Nalgene-style waterbottles for the durability, but the ones I had were just too big and I didn't like the wide mouth. After doing some research, I went to REI looking for the Nalgene OTF, but they only had the kid-size ones. I found that I didn't like the latch mechanism as well, so I looked around some more in the store and settled on the Chute. I really like the volume, perfect to throw in my backpack for the day. But I love the small drinking spout! It's much easier to open and is just the right size to give me a good swig without dumping water on my face (as easily). I haven't had any problems with it leaking yet, so that's awesome! I really want to be able to throw it in my bag with small electronics and money and such, so that's important. I knocked it down to 4 stars for 2 reasons. One, it's a lot harder than they make it sound to get the lid down into the holder thing in the handle, but once you get it there it's kind of handy. I only put it there when I'm sitting down eating or something though, because it's impractical to do every time. The other reason is that I added a lemonade flavor packet to my water one day, and I still haven't gotten the flavor out! I think the problem is more with the lid, and the smaller parts in the small cap. But I will clean more and see if I can solve that. Overall, a great bottle for my simple everyday use. I would definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product. I have two water bottles. One is the Eddie version and the other one is the chute version. The Eddie version has my college name on it. And the Chute version I got free from a church for being a new member with their logo on it. So far only the Eddie one leaks if the lid isn't on all the way. I didn't know about the cap storage thing until today. Over all it's a great water bottle. Just be careful if you have the straw and bite mouth piece they attract black mold easily. That's why I switched to the chute mouth piece instead.

Will the .75 liter Chute fit in a Tacx water bottle cage( approximately 2.8")

Asked by: Mr Fun
It is possible that the Chute could fit in a Tacx water bottle cage. The challenge is that there are a few different styles of water bottle cages made by Tacx. We can tell you that the Chute measures 3 inches in diameter and 10 inches in height.
