So many day packs do no have the hip/waist belt needed to take the weight from your shoulders. This little pack offers that and all the support you would expect from a larger capacity pack. I love it for taking extended hikes that require extra water and gear for emergencies. Great pack, I would by another.
Read More Ordered this pack on line for a weekend hike/camp. The quality is very good and it has plenty of pockets. The hip belt pockets are larger than some but they are half mesh so stuff in there will get wet in rain. None of the zipers are water resistant, so you will have to buy a rain cover. The side zip pockets don't bellow out enough to fit a large water bottle let alone my lite sleep mat and there is NO room for even a 40+ sleeping bag. I tried to fill it with my supplies for an emergency evac or get home bag: Solite Bivy, sturdy shoes and clothes, packable rain gear, tarp, food, first aid, lites, gloves, fire steel, meds, a 2L hydration bladder, etc. It fit all that, but the load lifters didn't cinch enough and much of the weight was still on my shoulders. Im returning it for either a Deuter or a Gregory Sage, both of which are awsome for 14"/15" torso. More expensive, but you only have one back! (PS...it will make a great emergency bag for anyone with a 16 or longer torso.)
