Read More I bought these radios to use when canoeing in the bay, we frequently go out in two boats and having a radio to help keep conversation clear is a huge benefit. However the distance in which you get a clear signal is nowhere near the advertised mileage. When we are the water we get about three miles of clear signal and then it becomes more and more fuzzy. In the woods we have even less. But if you are going to be using to for a similar function, they get the job done. The radio is easy to use and does come with all the mentioned functions. And I'd say for the price it is an okay radio.
