Read More I got the ultra green in 120cm length. I specifically searched for poles with bright colors, green or yellow would have worked for me, and because they are aluminum, but once I received them noticed some other nice features. To start, they are 18mm thick, not 16mm like some other brands. I prefer aluminum vs. carbon/composite poles, as aluminum bends, doesn't break, and can be straitened if needed. The grips are clear, slightly soft at room temp, and both the straps and basket match the green color. The basket will work with either powder or groomed. The yellow version appears to have a smaller basket in photos, but I can only verify that my baskets are as pictured in the REI product image for ultra green. Poles are stamped "made in Austria". Another reason I wanted bright poles is that I have a black jacket & pants, and wanted something to use to post a warning X in the snow if somebody is down on the slope. Volkl Phantastick poles, I recommend them for a splash of color.
