Read More Dear Asics, Please stop making drastic changes to the same shoe model from year to year! This newest change has caused a toe injury. Apparently you've narrowed the toe box, go to Amazon's reviews of this same shoe. Almost every complaint is narrower toe box. I've run in these shoes for years, and was honestly a bit frustrated that you changed the model every year. But in the past it hadn't been an issue. Last year and this year using the 2000-2 it has been an issue. My toes only on the left foot go numb and now I'm afraid I've injured my toe. It's frustrating when you just absolutely love a shoe and can't get the same shoe. Now I don't know what I am going to do. I may have to go back to Brooks. -

Read More I love this shoe! I ran track in high school and every year we would start out running through the hallways until the snow melted and every year I would get shin splints extremely bad. I would look for a new shoe every year, put insole's in, and hope it worked. When I tried on the Asics Gt 2000 it was perfect right away. They helped with my shin splints and felt great for everything else. The next year when I got new one's I wanted the exact same shoe but ended up with the GT 2000 2 and it was even better. Right away it was like walking on clouds and throughout the season I never had to put in insoles and they helped keep the pain in my shin's to a manageable level. I love these shoes for the support and comfort they give, but they also come in some great colors that allowed me to have fashionable shoes for the first time in my life! -

Read More I won this shoe during a race and have since put 400 miles on it. It has the best feel for my foot. No blisters with this shoe and my feet are never tired after running long distances...longest distance 21 miles and even wore them on a trail (dirt and gravel) half marathon. I also do not wear any socks whatsoever while running in these shoes and I NEVER EVER get blisters. I do have the exact shoe size I wear (no need in buying these one size bigger than many run stores suggest because it is absolutely perfect for me.) Great shoe! I have since gotten a second pair and lucky it was on sale! I will continue to use the old shoe until my feet tell me to stop while breaking in the new shoe. I don't foresee myself running with any other shoe ever again. If you find yourself having blisters etc with shoes, it's just not the shoe for your foot. Return them and try a different type of shoe or socks. It's nothing wrong with the shoes you purchase, it is just that the shoe is not right for your foot and the activity that you are using them for.Originally posted on asicsamerica.com

Read More I was a devout Asics fan years ago. I go all the way back to the GT 2040s! At about the 2080s, Asics did something to the shoe and I couldn't wear it anymore. I have very narrow heels and weak ankles -- they made the heel wider which made them a poor shoe for me. Last week I tried the GT 2000-2s on and it was like I was Cinderella putting on the glass slipper. Immediately, these were the old Asics I remember! The back of the shoe came up just enough to give me security around the back of the foot. The arch in the shoe fit right into mine. It was like yen and yang. Thank you!! And, please leave them alone -- they are fine the way they are.Originally posted on asicsamerica.com

Read More My last 7 pairs of shoes have been the asics GT 2000. It's my favourite shoe despite my big right toe always breaking through the shoe prematurely. My last pair literally had the interior heel section disintegrate well before the shoe was due to be retired. This current shoe the GT2000 feels pretty similar but gives me really bad busters on my heels and makes it unwearable. I'm going to have to shop for another brand now after many years of being satisfied with the model. I hope asics address the issue as it seems to be coming up on many running sites.Originally posted on asicsamerica.com

Read More I have a narrow foot so I have few options. The Asics line fits my foot really well. I loved the 2170s, but the GT 2000 and GT 2000-2 not so much. I had a lot of issues with forefoot pain long before getting to 200 miles in the 2000-2s. The cushioning seems to lose its punch and in one pair I had issues with the shoe structure causing issues/strain on the top of my foot. I also started getting plantar fasciitis. I jumped at the chance to get the new GT 2000 v 3 and they have caused severe PF pain in 2 of my 3 runs. They are going back. I don't know what to do now. Asics...what did you do to a great shoe?
Read More I admit, I haven't worn Asics in years but these are my absolute favorite shoes! They are so comfortable and I can walk 5+ miles and it feels like I'm on my first mile! Love them! My only complaint is that I did have to go up in size because the fit is a bit different than what I'm use to and the price is a bit steep.
