Read More These booties are used for our performance dogs when they must perform on slippery surfaces, like basketball courts. They must fit snuggly and not allow for a lot of foot movement in the bootie. These are generlly good for our application, but there are two issues that, if addressed, would be better. First, the transition from the plastic to the fabrick "sock" sock is not very smooth, and the dog's dew claws often catch on it when we are putting the bootie on. We have two different boot sizes for our different sized dogs, and the problem exists for both boot sizes. Also, the dew claw has torn the sock in a couple instances. The sock needs to be made of stronger material and transition more smoothly with the plastic. The second problem may be unique to our application. The boots must fit securely so it doesn't slide around when the dog jumps or corners, so we tape the sock part to the dogs' upper legs to keep the booties tight. The sock is too short to come to the optimal taping point, which is above the ankle or wrist, so the tape ends up at the joint, which hinders movement. Those issues notwithstanding, these boots are clearly top of the line, and we would recommend nothing less for sport/performance dogs. -

Read More Canyoneering and hiking in the desert over slickrock sandstone poses and interesting obstacle for my dog. Without the boots, his nails get worn to the quick in about a mile. With the boots, I usually just use them on his rear feet, as he's pushing off with those and those nails and pads see more action. They're perfect. My #1 issue is these do not stay on UNLESS you vet tape the leg from rear pad to above where the top of the boot will rest, and then vet tape around the top to the undertape. That has been a dang near flawless way to keep them on for up to 8 hours and 6 miles of grueling terrain. -

Read More I've tried these boots in several different sizes for my dog (after originally following the manufacturer's sizing instructions), and I've come to the determination that they stay on great . . . as long as your dog doesn't move and keeps his/her breathing to a minimum.
Read More These seem so well made. They're troublesome to put on, especially every 5 minutes as they off, one by one! My dog is 10lbs, the smallest size FITS perfectly, and no matter how much I tighten the velcro, they will still flip off when he runs, walks, jumps, or just sits looking at you. I WANTED them to work out, but after diligently watching, one still dissapeared, never to be found. If you try them and they flip off, don't bother keeping them, they're too expensive!
