Read More Bought these on sale at REI in Indianapolis. Then wore them every day for the 500 or so miles (30 days) on the Camino del Norte and Primitivo in northern Spain. Every day. Comfortable. Lasted the entire trip. And they looked good too. The walk was more rigorous than the French Camino. I want to buy another pair. -

The pull string laces are pretty cool but the laces are necessarily long, whenever you walk the pull tab is bouncing around the toe of the shoe. If they did a shorter lace or just laces life would be so much better. Probably no fault of the shoe, but my feet got really hot hiking around in the summer, it seems like Adidas was trying to make a do everything shoe but really should have left the idea as two shoes, a non water low top for hot hiking and a high top waterproof version for the cold. With that, i switched them out for non water proof trail runners to hike in the summer and bought the high top version of these for the winter months. -

I'm tall, which often leaves my feet cold from deficient circulation, but with a pair of smart wool socks these shoes keep my feet toasty. Absolutely love them.

Read More Well built, great lace system, comfortable, gore tex definitely keeps the water out, tread has excellent grip, primarily used on local off road trails, the true test will be this August in Iceland hiking glaciers and lava flows.
