Jan 9, 2016OK, but...Good enough for what it does, but clasp/fastener system is weak. I've already lost the device putting overcoat on/off.

Jan 8, 2016Didn't work for meSadly this fitbit didn't work for me. The flex kept tracking my hand movements. I am a huge hand talker.

Yea, two months later and that one is gone - it fell off during activity. That stinks! Poor closeure system and I will not buy another one because of it. -

Read More The good. - Been using a flex since it came out and it's very accurate when it comes to it's main purpose, counting steps. - I also like that most of my friends have a fitbit and we create weekly and daily challenges to keep us motivated. The bad - The slightest vibration puts it into sleep mode, as far as I can tell the fitbit doesn't count your steps in sleep mode. Pushing a stroller, a shopping cart, using a power tool or even putting your hand on a blender will set the fitbit into sleep mode. This is especially annoying if you don't realize it and you take a long walk to stay competitive in the daily or weekly challenges, then 4-5k steps don't get counted. - It has problems charging sometimes BUT THERE IS A FIX. The three gold contacts on the fitbit get covered in all sorts of crud from wearing it all the time, rub the contacts firmly against a towel or a stiff bristle brush (think toothbrush) and voila.. it'll start charging again. Sometimes I have to dig in there with a tooth pick or a bobby pin if the other method doesn't work. - Last complaint is there's no altimeter like the first fitbit I had. -
Jun 12, 2015Lasted 30 daysOnly had mine for 30 days before it quit working. Thank goodness I purchased my Fitbit from REI. They were gracious enough to exchange it with NO questions asked.

Read More Enjoyed the Fitbit for a few months, worked great and especially liked the wake up vibration option but eventually it stopped working and the company keeps giving me the run around about trying to get them to live up to their warranty. Garmin doesn't always work either but they have always stood behind their products. Don't buy this one but buy the Vivofit, I've had that for the last 6 months and its worked much better and you don't have to charge it!
Read More The fitbit flex started giving me charging issues after 6 months. It failed completely after 14 months...just after the warranty ended. I followed suggestions on their website, cleaning, rebooting, etc. but the unit is officially dead. Also, their straps do not last long and are pricey to replace. I would not recommend this item to anyone.
