Read More Yep, it snags...on everything. The fact that it shines as a layer piece, though, doesn't mean that shoddy construction is acceptable for the price. I bought this on sale; in comparison to similar packable, synthetic layering pieces, it has all of the major qualities. The deciding factor shouldn't be brand, it should be fit and comfort. The nano was the most comfortable piece for me, including the slim fit and x-long arms (for layering and movement, the extra length was amazing). I'm a petite female that pretty much weighs the size of a small child, and I get colder quicker and harsher than most others. I picked this jacket up before a trip to Seattle. Temps ranged from the 30's to 50's, and when it rained, it was freezing. My only outer layers were this jacket and a VERY thin waterproof shell. I walked/hiked outside for hours at a time in cold rain, with nothing but a shell, this jacket, and a t-shirt on. I can't believe how warm and breathable this jacket was, and how much a simple shell can enhance it's insulating abilities. I was comfortably toasty--NOT sweaty--while hiking and walking everywhere, and this jacket adjusted well to all kinds of mid-range temps!! I give it 4 stars, 1 deducted for the poor construction and unnecessary price tag that follows. After just 5 days of wear, the seams had snagged on the inside of and outer jacket I wore over it, on it's own zippers, and on random things like chairs and such (when worn as an outer layer). I understand that it's main function may be a mid-insulating layer, but keeping in mind that it's also made for people who use it while being active, the construction should still be better. Overall, this jacket kicked butt with its versatile insulating powers. Not to mention it's packable. For those who travel or backpack minimalist, this is a must. -

Read More I had put this jacket on my wish list and then forgot about it. My daughters bought it for me as a gift and I wear it so much! Cute enough for casual work outfits and super practical for hiking. Squishes downing into nothing in my day pack and super lightweight, water resistant, and wind resistant! I'm 5'7" and about 133#. In some Patagonia tops I buy a medium so that I have a bit more arm length and torso length. In this jacket the small fits me well. I am very pleased with this product. -

Read More When I first bought this jacket, I really liked it. Loved the deep green color, and the cut. I bought a medium, because the large was a bit too big. But the medium is still a bit too form fitting around my hips. Guess I'm in between sizes in Patagonia wear. Mountain hardwear's medium is more generous. The jacket is warm, despite it being so light. The real issue is how much the threads on this jacket snag. My use is so light, wearing inside at the office mainly, going to/from the car. Haven't yet ventured out beyond that. And I have had multiple snags where the threads have pulled out, and have little thread loops along the side of the left arm, from inside elbow to wrist. AND this is with me being VERY careful. It's really disappointing, because I don't know how after 2 weeks of very minimal wear, this jacket will hold up. I've read other reviews where people have sent the jacket to Patagonia to be fixed, and receive a new jacket. Not sure how many times you would want to do this, because I think it would be an ongoing problem. Don't want to return this jacket because of the warmth, fit, but tired of the snags. -

Read More I was so surprised at how much I am in love with a jacket. I get cold easily but hate wearing outer jackets, especially how the "bunching" is when moving the arms and all those seams in the armpit area bothers me. I love all the well-thought out designs from companies like Patagonia, Marmot etc brands that REI carries, but this jacket is esp perfect for me.... semi-fitted, not too short/not too long, so light and yet soft and cozy. Not too warm but I wanted a to wear it as a go-to jacket and for being outdoors in cooler temps. I will layer it under a shell if it's real cold or wet out, but yeah, I am so thrilled with my Nano! (took me forever after trying on every brand jackets). I debated whether I wanted a down jacket for more warmth, but really, this is all I need and thin enough to travel with and layer if needed. I usually buy everything in black or gray. The sales lady at REI suggested this one and I LOVE the grayish-purple color. It's neutral but has a hint of purple which is beautiful. I am 5'3", 112 lbs and ended up with an XS. I was going to get a S even though the arms were big, thinking I wanted to layer under it but the sales lady said XS was a better fit. I'm glad she helped because I find that this jacket is all I need over a tee or first-layer. It fits fine over my fitted fleece so now I feel like I can wear it 3 ways, by itself, on top of a fleece hoodie, or as a layer under a shell. I just love it so much that I am purchasing 2 more for my family members. -

Jan 10, 2016Nano Puff JacketLove, love, love it! So light weight and yet so warm. Perfect for backpacking since it squishes down to a small package, or for a walk in the woods.
Read More The size chart is wrong for this product. I ordered a small based on my measurements of 35" bust and 27" waist and it was way too big, then sold out when I tried to exchange it. I sold the SM to a coworker and she loves it, I don't have a jacket.
