I gave him mine (had to show him how to put them on). Man was he happy. If he does not drop them back, I will just order another pair. These are a great product. -

Read More Got these in the mail, and no sooner had I decided to try them on did my area (western U.P. of Michigan) get hit with a strong band of lake effect snow. Rather than suit up in my snowpants to get to work, I decided to try the gaiters out and put them through exactly the type of rigors I'd expect them to survive. Good thing too, because there were 3-4 foot drifts of snow burying my truck, which would've been a terrible time plodding through in just boots and jeans. The gaiters worked great. No snow got through on the bottoms or on top once I'd gotten everything cinched down and tight. I've since gotten out into the really deep stuff out of the parking lot and on the trail, and they're holding up well as I post-hole my way around. They feel light, but that may be because I'm used to having snowshoes strapped on instead (can't give those up just yet). I can feel the cold snow against my legs, which is what I expected since these aren't insulated. Can't wait to try them out in warmer weather to see how they hold up.
Read More Hiked Mount Si in Washington over the weekend wearing these gaiters. During my hike I encountered rain, mud, and near the top around a foot of snow. I must say they did exactly what they're supposed to do. My legs below the knee stayed dry and free of mud. I removed them once mid hike to change my socks and they were simple to put back on in adverse weather conditions. I love them and would recommend to anyone I know.
