Read More Note well! The first bullet point of the product description reads as follows: "Sternum and waistbelts can be removed to customize bag to your individual preference" This is inaccurate given that the product does not have a waistbelt - removable or otherwise.
Read More I couldn't disagree with the other two reviews here more! This is my favorite pack. The 18 liter is probably too small to use for a daily commuter pack. I use mine primarily for day hikes, but I've used it skiing, mountain biking, hauling around all day at festivals, and more. The aesthetics are killer. Such a clean design. I love the outer and top stash pockets, they hold everything from wallet to keys to dog poo bags, head phones... you get the point. The main compartment is large and can fit a long sleeve shirt, a softshell jacket, two 1L water bottles, some snacks and a little more. You can stuff this baby full! I use it with my huge Osprey 3L hydration bladder and they both work great. The bag itself is light and I've packed it as an extra on trips as a day pack. I take this pack more places than any other pack I own. (I own 5.) Cons: I'm a little on the thinner side of builds and need to cinch the straps way down, no waist belt can make carrying heavy loads for many hours a little more difficult, full panel back means you'll get sweaty. At $80 overpriced, at the current REI price, right on. Highly recommend. I'm looking into the larger sizes of this series to replace my Osprey Momentum 38 as my daily pack for work commuting.
