Read More I bought this pillow to go with a backpacking down pillow. I have a Big Agnes sleeping bag so I wanted this to go into the hood pocket. I didn't realize you have to inflate it yourself however with about all of 3 huff n puffs, it was inflated. I tested it out at home and with the other down pillow and it was the perfect set up. This provided the support that my neck needs. I tried to lay my head on it with out the down pillow and I am not going to lie, that it wasn't comfortable to me on it's own. It was super easy to deflate and to get out that little extra air, all you have to do is suck all the air out from the valve and shut it and you are good to go. It is super compact, in fact, so much so that i didnt even know what it was from the order I placed until I opened it up.
Read More I got this on a whim for a 5 day hiking trip, and I am pleased with my purchase. I found that it's better if you don't fill it up all the way, otherwise it's too firm. I put it in one of my SmartWool shirts so it was warmer against my face but it still made a crackle sound. Maybe that will go away with time and use? I can tell you that either: a) it wasn't loud enough to wake me up, or b) I was so tired I slept through it. I was super happy at how small if folded up, and that it is so light weight that you won't even know you have it until you pull out your sleeping bag and there it is, in the compression sack with your sleeping bag just waiting to make your night better.
