Read More I would say this suit is more of a "lightweight" than a "Midweight" layer. That said, it is perfect for what I bought it for. My daughter is 14 months old, 20 lbs, and 29 inches tall. I purchased the 18-month size which is currently pretty big, but I wanted it to last her all winter, so it fits as I expected it would on her. I use it as her nightclothes and she seems to really like them because she doesn't get too hot. It breathes really well, so even if she gets sweaty from crying or something, it wicks the sweat away and evaporates really fast. The fabric is very soft and feels really nice....I wish I had nightclothes made out of this stuff! At the top of the zipper, there is a little flap of fabric the folds over the zipper pull, so it doesn't aggravate her neck or chest. It was well-constructed and it is easy to put on and take off of her. I plan on purchasing another one when she outgrows this one. Overall: highly recommended.
