Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth it Finally purchased this after trying a few cheaper options. All of the cheaper options leaked in my travel bags and were a waste of money. This product is expensive but worth it knowing that your soap, shampoo, etc will not leak in your bags. I travel often (4 flights a week) and have not had any leaking with these containers no matter what direction they are in or how hard they are squeezed into a bag. The only one slight downside is that the silicone feeling tube does collect some hair/dust/dirt from any surface it is placed on. Not really a big deal but something to note.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flimsy for the Price Bought these to use on a 4 week trip abroad, then started using them at the gym. I like their small footprint in my bag and they don't leak. With daily use, the edges of the caps chipped, and it was hard to create enough pressure in the tube to force stuff out of the opening. They need to be really full in order to work well. Turning the cap to use the labels was weirdly difficult on two of the tubes. In the future, I'll buy plain Nalgene bottles instead. One unexpected use: I filled one with peanut butter and use it to teach my dog to heel. I can squeeze out tiny bits of peanut butter and let her lick the tube in order to reinforce correct position. It's way easier than fooling with messy treats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Yes, they are a bit bulky. Yes, they are hard to clean if you let the contents dry. Yes, the embossed lettering around the collar is about useless. But, these are the most durable travel bottles I've ever used. I have taken these around the world and the bottle body has never shown any signs of wear. I did manage to break some lids by dropping them in the shower. However, the Humangear lifetime warranty really is a lifetime warranty. All I had to do was send them an email (via their web site) and I soon had replacement lids in my mailbox. These tubes are definitely worth the price if you are tired of cracking/leaking travel bottles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality but careful what liquid Bought these to replace lower quality (cheaper) travel bottles in my carry-on kit that leaked. Love the quality. But be careful about what liquid you put in them. Low viscosity liquids (scotch, perhaps vinegar, etc.) leak out of the snap-shut lid merely by being suspended lid down, much less at the low pressures of flying. Correspondence with Humangear revealed they had no alternate lid to supply. Too bad. They should, as Eagle Creek provides alternate lids in their travel bottle kit. I did find a 79 cent kids drink-bottle lid that fit fine, though, and seals in such liquids. If all you want to transport are more syrupy items like shampoo then you don't need to worry about this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT good for less frequent travelers! I really LOVE the softness, the pleasant pastel colors, and all the features listed in the product description. HOWEVER, THE CONTENTS CAN DRY UP to a stiff paste or, worse, to an unusable lump if they're not used within a few short months: toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, hair styling gel. I would recommend this product **ONLY IF** the contents would be used up quickly, within maybe 2 or 3 months. If the product sits in the tubes for 6-9 months you'll get those unusable lumps. FOR THE OCCASIONAL TRAVELER or camper, I would recommend getting another type of container for your personal care products – or just keep the products in the original containers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but improvements are needed I already owned a set of the 2 ounce GoToobs, and needed to supplement my supply. I decided on the 3 ounce version because I needed the additional capacity, and did not find the suction cups all that useful. The major improvement that is needed: the caps break entirely too easily. I found this out the hard way while travelling - suction cup released from the shower wall before I expected; it fell lid first, and the lid broke into three pieces. As a result, I do not recommend using the suction cups at all; the 3 ounce GoToobs are TSA-compliant, so they are now my recommended option. Just don't drop them...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Travel necessity I have bought the bottles before, but since I am going for a longer trip, I needed extras so that I can take just the amount I need on side trips. These work well, stay closed, and fill easily. I have only found the 3 oz size in the blue, green, and white combo, but would welcome the other color option that I have seen for the 2 oz with suction cup. While there is a little raised descriptor on the ring near the opening, this is not something you can easily read in the shower. For this reason, I have my color coding system, blue for shampoo, green for conditioner, and white for things I don't use in the shower and can read the description. I would be very pleased if REI stocked this product with different colors, so I could know without reading what was inside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too restrictive I've used these a couple times for non-hiking travel. I've had no leaks or issues with quality. However, I did have problems actually getting the contents out. As other have mentioned, this happens when the tubes are not completely full. The opening is so tight to prevent leaks, that when squeezing the tube, it simply burps a little air out without releasing any gel/lotion.
