Read More Bought this 6 weeks ago and love it. Used it over and over on our vacation. Now I'm on vacation too instead of just him in the pictures. We have some of the best pics together. Went on a five hour hike and left it attached to the camera the whole time. Came home and bought one for a friend for her vacation. Can't wait to see her pics.Originally posted on joby.com

Read More I got this to take on a short hiking trip in Texas. My last trip I tried using nature to hold the camera but it was really challenging. I got this product because I was also going to propose to my girlfriend and I wanted to make sure I took a lot of good pictures. Needless to say this thing was awesome. I even hung it on a tree and it held the camera while I proposed; she didn't know I was recording. Awesome thing to have and it will go on all outdoor trips from here on. -

Read More If you are expecting to use this as you would a normal, heavy duty tripod then you will likely be disappointed. However, its adaptability makes this tripod perfect for on-the-go photography when you are never sure when and for what you will need a tripod, and when you don't want to carry a lot of weight. The legs are plastic, and if you try to wrap it around something too tightly they will pop apart, but for a mid-weight camera they have been more than adequate (I have an Olympus E-PL2). I have wrapped the legs around fence poles and railings, set it up on uneven rocks and grass, and used it as a mini tripod to take pictures out my back window off of my desk. The grip will not always be perfect and sometimes it takes a minute to get it situated perfectly, but the idea of this tripod isn't that you will have a rock-steady tripod; the idea is that you have a tripod that can adjust to just about any situation without weighing you down or taking up too much room, and it accomplishes that task. Once you have it situated correctly, it will hold any reasonably sized camera steady in just about any position, and what more can you really ask from a reasonably-price, lightweight tripod? Bottom line: If you are going to get flustered if it takes you a minute to get set up or if you don't have the steadiest, most durable tripod available, then don't buy this. However, if you are looking for something light and adjustable that will allow you to take steady pictures in any situation (I do mostly low-light or nighttime shooting and it works fantastically), this tripod is more than worth the money. Picture: I took the attached picture with the tripod wrapped around a guardrail on top of a dam. This tripod allows you to be creative in getting the exact shot you are looking for, in areas that it would normally be a pain or impossible to carry and set up a traditional tripod.
Read More This tripod's small size makes it easy to stuff into a pack and bring along for a hike, bike ride or anywhere else you might head out to. It easily attaches to most surfaces (trees, poles, tables, etc) and keeps the camera steady. Much better than trying to balance the camera on a pile of rocks and sticks to get the right angle!
