Read More This is by far the best flashlight I have ever owned. The high beam is blinding and can be used as a defense. I was reluctant to purchase this flashlight due to the high price but have found it to be well worth it, particularly after receiving the 20% REI member discount offer. It is surprisingly small and fits in the palm of your hand. NOT large like a Maglite. -

Read More I have 12 different flashlights ( and most are Surefire or Streamlight ) but this flashlight is the one I use all the time every day. High quality Surefire product as usual and the only flashlight you will ever need for lighting up the night with 500 lumens if you need it. Compact size so there is no reason not to carry it anywhere at night. I find that the low 15 lumens 90% of the time gives plenty of light and makes the battery last a long time but it is always nice to have the super bright 500 lumen high beam if you need it. Cost some bucks but well worth the price. IMHO. -

Read More This flashlight is the best. I had the 6PX pro light before this, but at 500 lumens the Fury is significantly brighter. I can't imagine a better flashlight that you can easily fit in your pocket. Battery life is not so much if you use the high setting all the time, but low setting is good for most things and lasts forever.
Read More I am not yet sure it is worth the price; at least I got it on sale. Very nice finish. May need this for shoreline studies peering into rock crevices. The first night I used it was in Deer Park campground at midnight when I walked from road to privy. On the road I didn't need a flashlight because the dirt reflected the moonlight, but I turned it on when I headed for the privy door and wow the entire park lit up. --almost embarassing--I immediately turned it to low beam. I can see where I might easily drop it--I wish there was a ring for a strap to put around my wrist. Given the high price, I am not sure I'd recommend this, but it definitely is very high quality, compact, and extreme beam.
