Read More I was looking for a daily replacement watch (date, time, day of week, alarm, timer), but also wanted one with altimeter, barometer and temperature for hiking and camping. For the price, this watch has all this and more. Multiple alarms and a couple of timers are also included. I found the Altimeter to be accurate. It also allows a reference altitude to be entered through the adjustment process. My used of the Barometer function is more toward detecting a low pressure system moving in unexpectedly. The Temperature feature works best having the watch removed from you body (see page E41 in the manual for explanation why). It uses the back metal case as the sensor and has to be given time to adjust from your body's temperature. So, far this is the only real negative I've found so far. But hey, if it feels hot or cold, it likely is! As an added note it is supposed to be water resistant to a depth of 100 meters. I have not yet tried this feature. BTW - this one was the last one in the case and was missing the instruction manual, so the GREAT REI staff told me how to find the manufacturer's instruction manual online (downloadable PDF from Casio - also good for reviewing before purchase). Happy Adventuring! -
Apr 16, 2014Love this watchLove this watch. Temperature is thrown off a bit because the sensors are so close to my arm. Other than that, I recommend this watch.

Read More I just picked up a replacement as the housing of the first watch, where the band attaches, broke in less than 2 months. REI replaced the watch, no problems... great job REI! The watch keeps time though the altitude and temp seems to be a bit off when comparing to other equipment. The hands could be thinner to make the digital readings easier to read.
Read More For four months it worked fine, one hot day the face steamed up and it stopped working. Water leaked into the watch from the sweat on my wrist, It is not waterproof. Don't skimp on a altimeter watch, spend the few extra bucks and get one that will last.
