I would definitely recommend this for anyone car camping for multiple days. We used it for our annual Fourth of July camping trip, and it really helped us keep organized and from searching for pots/pans/dinnerware every time we needed something. A couple of things that they could improve on....garbage holder needs a "bottom". The garbage bag would fit nicely around the frame, but once the bag got filled it would fall off. We ended up using the frame to rig a holder for paper towels instead...which is the other item they could add to improve this product. Easy to assemble, and folded up easily to put away. We did not use the net, but left this space open to set the garbage bag, and we had the stove on the top shelf, rather than the bottom, and had the propane canister resting on a table that we set up next to the "kitchen".

I even use this at home
I got this last summer and didn't have any problems with hardware. Works great for car camping. I also use it at my un-air conditioned apartment to enable cooking outside during the summer.

I"be used this table a few times now and there are some good and bad things. Good: It's a great place to put the stove. Bad: That space isn't big enough to put the stove and the fuel (unless you want your fuel right next to the stove). We have to put the fuel on the prep space, which then takes away that space. Good: The shelves and netting are great for storing pots and cooking supplies. Bad: That rod and clamp are useless. I don't even take them anymore. Good: A place to hold the trash bag. But you need clamps to hold the bag in place. Good: It packs up flat and fits nicely in the bag. Bad: It's still big and bulky. It's not compact. It is really nice if you have a lot of people and really need the space at the table for to sit and eat.. It does free up a lot of space. I would consider this a luxury and not a necessity.

It provided a good amount of space for setting up our camp stove. Has a nice hook for a lantern. I think they could have provided a better way to pack it up though. For the most part it packs up well but the smaller pieces need a way to be secured. I'm concerned they might fall out while transporting it. It's also a big vague as to how the design holds the garbage lining? Is is a special bag you buy or are you suppose to use plastic grocery bags? If normal garbage bags are the intent they could have included a few clamps to hold it on.

I love the flexibility of this table. I set ours up with the shorter side table on the right. I have a larger propane stove that takes up most of the width of the taller table, and the propane tank rests on the right perfectly on the lower side. I wish there was a way to rest the propane tank without taking any additional table space. Note: the instructions state to place the stove on the small side table and rest the propane tank UNDER the taller table, which would be great, except my stove (Stansport Outfitter Series 50,000 BTU Output Propane Stove) did not allow for this configuration. I'm not deducting any stars off for this, as it is pretty specific to my gear. Hey REI, it would be great if you offered the option of getting an additional side table!

Although it's a convenient kitchen, the following items are a bit of an annoyance. 1. The tables have rods underneath them which clip/snap in to the base. Not a bad idea in theory, but those rods constantly roll and you have to be sure they are in exactly the correct position in order to snap properly. 2. The post that extends up and uses a clamp to hang a lantern....useless. The clip isn't secure and slides down. 3. For the cost of this kitchen, I've seen others, better constructed for less that at least provide the bags or bins to go with. 4. No wash basin. Perhaps an enhancement for a newer version! I now use this as extra prep for cooking, but purchased a larger kitchen that comes with the bins.

I wish I'd have read the other reviews before purchase. Mine was broken out'a the box too, stripped screws too. I didn't return but only because I "re-worked" it myself with some help from the hardware store. All told I've never had a bad experience with a REI product after many years and many purchases, I guess I was due for a lemon. I'd recommend dropping this product REI.
