Read More Although it is a very tight fit, I stuff my full size (72 in.) synthetic sleeping bag into the 10L compression sack. (I would recommend 15L for an easier fit, but 10L is feasible.) For external lashing to a pack, feed the tie-downs through the compression straps for zero slippage and maximum stability. I lash mine to the bottom of my pack which means it is the first thing to touch the ground when I set my bag down. To date, I have not had any rips, tears, or even scuffs, despite the extremely thin ultralight fabric. Would highly recommend this product to friends. (I just ordered a couple more myself.) -

Read More I bought this sack to help create more space in my backpacking bag. I actually used this for my sleeping bag and it worked great! I bought one for myself and my boyfriend in the 15L size which is the recommended size for a sleeping bag. The ties on the side allows you to get it really compacted without having to really use all of your own strength. The material is really thin making it light weight but it was also really durable because I attached it to the outside bottom of my pack and was setting down or propping it up on the ground and other surfaces. The bonus was that it was on sale and was just as much as the REI brand, maybe even a little cheaper. -

Read More Picked this up almost by accident during the recent REI annual sale. Wanted a 10L compression sack for my sleeping bag and the less expensive Sea to Summit model was out of stock in that size. Took a look to see what made this more expensive. Here is what I found: - Straps are double-stitched where they connect to the bag. - Two of the straps feature quick release buckles. - Can stow into a small pouch within the lid when not in use. To some this may not be enough to justify the higher price over less expensive compression sacks. For me though the peace of mind having double stitching was huge. Think about it, where will a compression sack receive the most stress over its lifetime? Right where the straps are stitched to the bag. And considering the kinds of stresses that compression sacks take this seems like a no brainer to me. Having it stow inside its own lid, and having quick release buckles were just icing on the cake. Overall a great compression sack. Nothing wrong with Sea to Summit or any other brands. This sack just sets itself a little higher above them. -

Read More I needed a better compression sack for my sleeping bag than the one that came with it (I have a synthetic bag -Northface Cat's Meow Long). This Compression sack is the perfect size. It easily compresses the sleeping bag down to considerably reduce pack size. It feels very strong despite the pressure that builds up within. Lastly, the bright yellow color helps me find my bag when down at the bottom of my pack.
Read More I bought this to try to cram my sleeping bag into a smaller space in my pack. The compression sack did the job well, and reduced the size of my pack substantially. I eventually decided to buy a new, more compact sleeping bag and returned this sack; but I would probably buy this product again if I needed a compression sack. I know that pricing isn't supposed to be part of my review, but the cost was a factor in my decision to return it and buy a different sleeping bag.
