Read More I love the intuitive design of this bag, not to mention the quality of the product. The fact that it rolls horizontally vs. vertically is a benefit from my perspective - it is much more stable, balanced and easier to maneuver, not as top-heavy as my old hard case. Yes, you cut a wider path, but for the short distance between the car and the check-in counter, it's so much easier to manage. The only negative is the weight - not sure how to balance weight vs. integrity but I was surprised that the bag itself was heavier than expected. -

Read More I bought this bike bag making the foolish choice of saving money vs ordering a sci-con or thule case for slightly more. This is one of the most poorly designed products in the category. 95% of bike cases have the wheel's on the side so you can roll the case easily upright so it's very narrow and easy to get through airports and train stations. Of course someone one at timbuk2 had the foolish idea of moving the wheels to the back, so that it only rolls at it's widest. And this thing is wide. almost 3.5 feet wide so that it's like trying to move a dinner table through a busy transit hub. DO NOT BUY THIS BAG IT MAKES TRAVELING 100% MORE DIFFICULT.
Read More My wife and I used two of these bags to take 2 carbon bikes around Tasmania; my research indicated that soft bags were treated less harshly then hard cases by airline handlers. These two bags traveled well and could be partially folded for car travel while we were in Australia. A little heavy and bulky but held up well for 2 weeks of travel and protected the bikes well. Plenty of room to pack bikes and some cycling supplies (helmet/clothes/tools). If you can get these at a substantial discount would recommend.
