Read More This is a comfortable pack with good shoulder strap and back ventilation that stays put when riding. It has room for a full bladder, spares, tools/pump, food, keys/phone/wallet and a light jacket with a little room left over. There are two small mesh pockets on the side that work well for gels or other snacks without taking the pack off. There are no open pockets on the back to collect mud and water so that's a plus for me. It also has a built in rain cover that pulls out of the bottom if needed. Its a typical high quality build that you would expect from Osprey with useful features and more than enough storage. -
Sep 26, 2013So far am very pleased with my Osprey!I do not feel comfortable reaching down to get water bottle and then turning it up while I am riding so the Osprey is a life saver!

Read More Good pack for the size. This holds just enough gear for a several-hour ride without being excessively bulky/huge. Mesh air-flow part is nice, if it doesn't exactly leave your back completely dry. Straps could be a little bigger, but this doesn't cause any problems. Magnet-attach is nice. Overall this is a great size and what I go to for most of my rides. I have a much larger pack for much bigger unsupported rides, but this really serves it's purpose well. Better than the camelback models I've used, but not radically better, they've all come a long way. -

Read More So I basically take this thing everywhere -even to the bars. I bike almost everywhere and it holds 3 L which is a perfect amount of fluid! The bladder is the best I've ever had! The bladder has a spine and great design so the water flow is smooth and perfect all the way until this thing is empty. The pack has a lot of useful pockets including a waterproof one on the front. The look is really sleek. I get lots of compliments! I especially love the neon yellow rain cover that's hiding in the bottom of the back and the helmet holding contraption on the top is also really nifty and useful! The neon rain cover is awesome and reflects the great colors that other Osprey cycling packs sport like this awesome yellow backpack I've been wanting. The mouth piece is really awesome- you can turn it two ways so that one way doesn't release any water- VERY USEFUL, and the magnetized clip is some of my favorite technology. I don't go for long rides so I don't know if you'd want it for that but it's great for commuting around when you don't need to carry lots of things. FORGOT TO MENTION that the part the touches your back has amazing ventilation so you don't get to sweaty on the back and the pack doesn't get filthy from sweat like with some other Camelback packs I've used. My only complaint is since I use this thing for everywhere as a purse and water carrier, I wish I could fit my laptop in it. Or had a tablet to fit in the waterproof pocket- that would work. Guess my next purchase is a hydro backpack! Buy this and you'll be a happy biker. :D -

Read More Great mtb pack. Holds all my stuff and water without being bulky or heavy. Best feature is the magnetic mouthpiece. So easy to get and put back while rolling, will only use this style from now on.
Read More Pros: It looks great, fits better than most (M/L) of other competing brands, ventilation is amazing! (For reference: I'm 205 lbs at 6 ft.) Function and capacity is perfect. (2-3 hour MTB ride I packed: Full bladder, 1 tube, Mini-Pump, CO2 Pump and 3 cartridges, Multi-Tool, Small First-Aid kit, Snack bag of Wet Ones, handlebar Bike light and headlamp for emergencies, windbreaker, arm-warmers, and enough nutrition and a lunch.) :) Cons: Pretty heavy dry weight, then add a full 3L hydration bladder. :( Outer stretch pockets are hard to get to, I'm pretty flexible for a big guy too. Major Con: When out on 3 hour MTB rides, with some technical terrain, the pack kept hitting me in the back of the neck. When ducking under branches or on technical descents, it would ride up on the back of my neck and catch on my helmet dial(this may/may not happen depending on your helmet). But honestly, it shouldn't happen at all. It moves way too much, even with hip/waist belt on, which I dislike...a lot! *I gave this a good 3 long-hard tries. 20+ miles / 3+ hours each time, on some intermediate and technical terrain. I tried loosening/tightening the shoulder straps and load straps to make it sit a little lower on my back, but it moved way to much. Even with the waist belt on/off, etc. I just could not get this configured properly. And I loathe waist belts. So if your going long, and ride intermediate to technical trails, this may not be the solution for you. But for Fire/Jeep Roads, gravel, or road biking(great ventilation, shape), I think this would be a great hydration solution. In the end, I will going with a running hydration vest, which I use for trail running, and hiking. It doesn't move and no waist belt! Yay!
