Jan 9, 2016O.R. Croc. GaitersDefinitely the best gaiters I've ever owned, tough material and well made. They fit nice and snug around my boots and keeps the snow out. I'm using them for xc skiing in Minnesota.

Mar 24, 2015love these gaitersI have an earlier version of these gaiters and they work wonderfully. I use them in winter hiking on New Hampshire 4000 peaks. They provide an extra layer of warmth and keep my feet dry.

Between black spruce and deadfall these have held up very well! Sadly due to boot shape or bottom of the gaiter, it does not provide a good seal at the boot so water leaks in pretty quickly if you're not careful. -

Read More I purchased these gaiters specifically for a three-day Christmas hike in the Smokies. It rained for eight straight hours on the first day, leaving the ground soggy, and all of the grass and plant life which bordered the trails soaked. During the initial day of downpour, I wore these gaiters under a pair of water proof pants and over my boots which ensured that my feet stayed dry. It was tricky getting them to hang over the final laces of the boots to make sure that the water ran all the way off of the boots instead of funneling into the tongue of the boot. Once i figured the best way to configure the gaiters with the pants and my specific boots, they worked great! For the next two days, I continued to wear the gaiters without the rain pants to keep my boots and hiking pants dry while hiking through wet grass and brush. The gaiters kept me dry, and as an added bonus, provided additional warmth to my feet and lower legs. If you're in the market for a good pair of winter gaiters, i recommend these. -
