Sep 11, 2014Great Litttle lightThis light is bright enough, although not as bright as the one that it replaced. The question at this point is, will it endure?

Read More I was on the lookout for a small, bright LED light to use at work that uses a common battery such as AA or AAA. I was in my local REI shopping for other items, and I found this Inova Xs. It fits the bill perfectly. It is small, bright, and very durable. I use it every day without any issues. If/when it ever wears out or breaks, I would definitely purchase another one. -

Read More I needed a daily carrier light for my bag. It needed to be small, lightweight, have 2 modes - low and bright, and use an easily available battery. This is tiny (.5" x 3"), which is the size of a small finger. It takes one AAA battery. It has 2 modes - high (53 lumens) which is for most uses and low (6 lumens) which is best when you don't want to disturb people at night or in a theater. I prefer that you twist it to turn it on and to change modes. I planned to buy the similar-sized Fenix E01 that cost more, but it only had one mode which gave out far less light. No contest. This goes everywhere with me all day. At home, I use the somewhat larger Fenix E12. -

Read More Bought these small flashlights for our Costa Rican vacation. With the intention to use them for night hikes and getting around the EcoLodge in the dark. They are small enough to put in a pocket or can be hooked onto a belt with a small carabiner (included). Great purchase. Easy for my young boys to use them and not lose them. -

Read More The string and the S clip isn't that great as a keychain, or for clipping to anything for that matter. The press and hold tail cap is a gimmick at best, a liability to drain the battery in your pocket at worst. That said I also bought the Fenix LD01 for a full $11 more, but why? The two are so similar I don't see how the Fenix costs more. It's been my experience that the flashlight with they highest lumens usually has the smallest beam, and this is just one example. The beam is slightly bigger then the Fenix, but past 30 yards the Fenix is slightly brighter, but not $11 brighter. I put the Inova X in my bag for emergency use only, I won't carry it every day like I do the Fenix LD01 as a keychain. -

Read More This is a very nice LED flashlight that uses a single AAA battery and claims that it will run for 8 hours at its low intensity level. It is quite bright as well as quite small. It seems to be sturdily made, with a machined metal housing. The various twistings of the end-cap to get the different settings (bright/dim, momentary [push button]/constant light] are more complex than an old-fashioned flashlight, but this is not a simple, old-fashioned flashlight. How else to provide those features? Twisting the end-cap is a reasonable solution.
