Feb 25, 2016Nice Sturdy ShoeSeems like a good sturdy shoe, I haven't been hiking yet. A little narrower than a 'D' (medium) width with is good for me.

Read More These look great, but the do fit a bit tighter than standard. After just a few months of light use (no real hiking yet), there is a tear across the fabric at the top of the tongue in the right shoe. It seem to be caused by friction from the lace, which bites into the fabric. I was really pleased with these at first, but now I'm disappointed. -

Read More Took this shoes hiking during the winter to Yosemite, Sequoia, Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon. Overall pretty good shoes. Good support, comfortable, good grip, nice fit, and look pretty stylish. Downside though, the lacing loosens up somewhat easily (just make sure to tie them up good), in heavy snow your feet will get wet (given, these are not meant for snow), and more importantly, no traction on ice. -

Read More I use these for everything from every day wear around town, but especially for taking our dogs outside in the middle of the night in the Colorado mountains, rain, shine (moonlight) or snow. I replaced laces with the elastic system to put on quickly similar such that they are similar to the Salomon quick system. -

Read More I purchased these Fast X Adidas Hiking shoes a few months ago after a 155 mile trip on the PCT pretty much destroyed my Merrells. I wanted something a little lower profile, but still substantial enough to handle a 35 lb pack, and the rocks and gravel of Southern California hiking. These have far exceeded my expectations. The pair that I have is not to slim and I have a wide foot. They did not come with the quick lace lock, but I haven't seemed to need it at all. I just tie in a double knot, and it stays for the duration of my hike. Great all around hiking shoe. -

Read More This is a fantastic hiking shoe. I purchased my first pair from Cabelas but after a couple of months I started having problems with my little toe on my right foot. Because I really liked this shoe and thinking this particular shoe may have a manufacturing defect I purchased a new pair from REI. However, now this pair is abrasive to my right toe also.
