Read More I purchased this for my 6 year old son. (and my 8 year old daughter and myself). These are absolutely wonderful jackets. Very lightweight down baffling - great summer and fall outer layer for cold mountain weather, and wears very well. Water resistant, so rain beads up and rolls off. Also more wind proof than other down baffled jackets we have had (mountain hardware). Zippers are child friendly and the neck has a nice triangle of fabric to prevent the dreaded neck skin caught in the zipper. I highly recommend this jacket. -

Read More I'm aware of how amazing these jackets are, so I thought we'd give it the ultimate trial - get one for our 5 yr old Kindergartener. Don't be fooled by this might chameleon and its weight. This jacket ROCKS. Warm spring day? Perfect jacket. Breezy conditions while summer hiking in the mountains? Perfect for this. Its fall and windy/rainy? Even better for this jacket. Surely its too light for winter? Nope, our son uses it under a waterproof rain shell and -POOF - now its bombproof insulation for playing hard and rolling in the snow. This jacket is awesome. The only "complaint" is that I've noticed it can get a lil funky smell-wise. Maybe its our sweaty child, maybe we need to do more laundry...anyway - buy this jacket.
