Read More Bought this jacket in a previous version and LOVED it. We got two winters out of it and hoped for a third except my son outgrew it. It was warm, fit well, and washed beautifully. Then this version came out. It's lighter, has thinner insulation, feels cheaper and, most of all, what happened to the pockets?! Little patch pockets on a winter jacket? He can't even get his hands in them, much less his mittens. Clearly a cost-cutting measure...so disappointed in REI on this one.
