Oct 31, 2013Great SaddleI got rid of my expensive, superlight, hard thin saddle and went for more comfort. I'm 42, 6'2" and it feel and fits well on my bony posterior.

Read More I ride Brooks B17's on my other (commuter and touring)bikes and wanted a lighter, slightly racier saddle for a new road bike. Tried Specialized Toupe and Avatar and another Selle Italia gel, all too narrow for me. The SI Gel Flo Man is fairly wide as racing seats go, although narrower than most Brooks and other non-racing seats. The padding is fine, and the cut out works as intended - no numbing even on long rides. The right saddle is very subjective. REI allows you to buy a saddle, put it on your bike, and then return it if it doesn't feel right. So REI's customer service makes this a 5- instead of 4- star review. -

Read More I'm 5'10", 175 lbs, and needed to replace the stock seat on my 2013 Trek Madone 5.2 which I found to be just too hard and a little narrow in the seating area. After reading several reviews about Selle Italia saddles, I decided to try this one. At 280 grams it is a comparable weight to my stock seat, but it's a little taller than my stock saddle so I had to make some adjustments to drop the seat post. Just did 45 min with the bike in a trainer and it feels great. Very nice padding, excellent construction. Center cut-out section really felt good, no pressure in that area at all. Highly recommended. -

Read More Excellent saddle for me. I need a well padded saddle for my sit bones. This is excellent for that purpose. The gel padding is very comfortable and after 3-4 hours on the saddle my sit bones are fine. No soreness. I do find a little bit of chafing inside my thighs. However, this is due in part to the bunching of my shorts. I would definitely recommend this to those, like me, who need a well padded saddle to relieve soreness in the sit bone area.
