Feb 24, 2016DisappointingIt looks like a bunch of misfit bent and dented parts were put together to make this burner. For the price, you would assume quality parts would have been used, but you would be wrong.

Read More The Good: Nice sturdy construction including the side shelves. Really nice for putting any stirring / flipping utensil you are using. Good powerful flame from the burners. The Bad: 2nd season out, lighter/starter stopped working. Really? My bbq lighter has worked for 6 years and it's never ever stored inside. My primus has only been outside for 10 days ever. The hose fits in to the bottom with clips to keep it in place won't stay in place so when you are carrying the stove it flops around requiring two hand to hold to stove. -

Read More Only one burner would stay lit at one time... I could get each burner lit eventually, but never both at the same time, and the built in lighter would work 1 out of 4 times, after multiple attempts... Total waste of money, and made cooking to 8 people for 10 days a real pain. I tried to correct the problem with different types of fuel canisters, but that had no effect. -

Read More The Primus Firehole 100 was received in good condition. However, the quality is terrible! The metal stampings are poorly made, with crinkled metal in various locations. The paint is rough, giving it a very poor appearance and it very difficult to clean. I am returning it unused. Not worthy of the Primus name. -

Read More I grabbed this stove on a whim, while shopping the memorial day sale, great price break! I haven't actually had the chance to use it but I love the size, big enough to fit two large pots on, or a double burner skillet! Would not recommend you try to pack it in, weighs entirely too much(jokes). The handle is a great addition, and I really like how everything fits together. I will try to remember to update this, or post another review after I get a few chances to use it. -

Read More I've had this stove well over a year and it gets a lot of use as we camp and eat outside quite a bit. the starter failed almost immediately, but i'd read reviews and expected that. the paint is peeling and chipping everywhere, not just where the burners are oxidizing it. the clips that "hold" the fuel hose never held the hose either, so thats always flopping around getting dragged thru the dirt, concrete or whatever surface you carry it over. the knobs that adjust the heat failed this year and now there isn't really any way to control the heat. i'm going to have to see if replacements are available. otherwise i'm going to have to fabricate something. its not a cheap stove, so i thought i was getting something with some quality. in the meantime the old school coleman that i gave back to my mom when i bought this continues to soldier on without any problems. -

Read More Well I can compare it to my Primus 3-burner stove from 20 years ago - This one is pretty nice except for the lid which is totally junk. The flip up side trays that hold it in place with magnets is also a joke. Otherwise it cooks well and the recessed propane hose are a welcome change. I got this unit with my dividend check so it only cost me $40 - Overall from what I have seen this stove is maybe worth $75. -

This stove is bulky but even on backpacking trips I will carry this two burner as to I carry the 10's and don't overpack so it fits in the backpack easily...makes cooking a breeze and best of all no pumping!
