I purchase this little light and it works great. I wrap the legs of the spider light around the suspension of my hammock and use it to softly light the area under my tarp. The light is not too bright but is plenty of light for reading. The light has reduced the weight in my pack and is versatile. -

Read More These little "spider" lights are great as safety blinkers. The hook and the legs make them versitile for many uses. We bought them in red and use them in camp to maintain night vision. We clip them to the ceiling of the tent and shine them either up or down depending on the effect you want. The little legs give you infinite control. In a double layer tent we clip them to the inner screen and shine them outward into the rainfly for a soft, reflected, glowing interior effect. You can then step outside and still see the stars or find the latrine. We clip them to the outside of our packs or position them near at night, so they are always handy. I imagine the other colors are quite useful.
Read More I got this for my 4yo son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. The light comes out if you don't want the bug legs on it, but it's great with them attached. He can make it grab onto almost anything that's grabbable. He uses it for looking at books at night and just general fun. For the price, it's a great, useful and fun light.
