Sep 26, 2014DurableThese shades work well! Although I don't like how the sun guards don't match.... one side is aiming normal while the other side is aiming down and can't be adjusted.

Read More Brown tinted glass lenses are high quality and distortion free. They provide awesome protection in the extremely harsh sunlight found on snow/glaciers. Glasses provide really solid hold on your head because the ear pieces are rubber coated and bendable, but the glasses are made to fit a really big head. They are a bit heavy and cold, but that's to be expected when you buy glass/metal rather than plastic. They didn't scratch during the 5-6 days I wore them. I just wish they fit. I would for sure recommend them to .... Humpty Dumpty -

Read More I had these for a week before they were so terribly scratched that they were irritating to wear. New scratches would appear, and I had no idea how they got there. I went to the store to exchange them thinking they were defective and the other pair the store gave me were scratched as well. They were delightful for the drive from LA to San Francisco. It was when they got near dirt and nature where they failed.
Read More I have been owning several pair of these glasses for about 10 years now. They provide excellent protection from the sun, they are distortion free, comfortable and moldable; they are metal framed. The down sides: they truly are glass lenses, they do scratch, expect them to even if you "profess" to taking care of your glasses. The rubber around the ear pieces wear out over time and the nose piece does as well. The last pair I had were two years before the nose piece wore out. Many years ago there were complaints that the ear piece rubber was junk. Many years ago I shared that complaint. I want to say Julbo heard and remedied the issue, the last pair I purchased in 2013 did not wear like earlier pairs. The side shields are kind of goofy and take getting used to, I have No peripheral vision with them on, but I have come to expect that and only put the on when I Know I need them. They are stupid simple to remove and install. Over all Great glasses, cost is a bit prohibitive, however replacing them every two to three years depending on how often I loose them,(I have not broke a pair yet by the way, I am a diesel mechanic by profession and boony romper by passion, I am hard on my gear and I don't complain if it lives up to even a bit of my abuse), given my satisfaction with them feels reasonable.
