Read More I bought this saddle last year just before a bike wreck. I kept the packaging and receipt until I put 500 miles on my bike this year--just in case. This is an amazing, comfortable, and stylish seat designed for women's body geometry. I have never ridden my bike more than 500 miles in a year before, but this seat has made it possible to stay in the saddle during winter indoor training rides as well as road, trail, and gravel rides on my Trek Pilot 2.1 WSD. I read the reviews and took a chance. I will never go back. Hands down? THE BEST BIKE SEAT I HAVE EVER OWNED. I am going to use my REI rewards to get another one for my Trail bike :-) To the person who has found the seat defective, your REI purchase might be two years old--but I bet that Selle Italia will stand behind their product. I've not experienced that issue, but if I do, I'll write the company directly. -

Read More I had a WTB Laser V seat. As I began to ramp up miles while training for a double century, I started having a lot of crotch pain not just in the drops but even on the hoods. My sit bones didn't hurt, nothing else hurt except the crotch area as I leaned forward. This was after only 15 miles. This was a deal-breaker. While there aren't many consumer report-style reviews of bike saddles, especially for women's saddles, there were a few, and many of them recommended this seat. It also is well-reviewed on amazon. I bought it, and have been thrilled. It felt great and the pain went away immediately. I've put over 100 miles on the seat so far and love it. It is not cheap, but the money was well worth it for me in order to avoid pain in a critical area. The gel, the design, the cut-out, the perforated leather so you don't slip/slide - whatever it is that Selle Italia does is downright magic. My advice: don't listen to people who say you just need to get used to your saddle, or spend more time riding, or that pain is normal. There are seats that feel great from day 1, that are pain-free, and the Diva is one of them. It's true that not every seat works for everyone. I was leery about spending the money, given that it's often difficult to return a saddle if you've ridden it for a bit, so I bought from REI rather than elsewhere. REI's return policy does apply to bike saddles, so you're protected in case a specific saddle doesn't work for you. -

Read More Once you get over the sticker shock and actually think of a seat as an investment, it really is a great seat. I bought this right before my first century (100 miles) ride. It was great super comfortable yet not too much padding to cause sores. I ride about 3 short (25 mile) rides and 1 long (40+ miles) a week. I also just rode the PMC (192 miles). One morning my seat was a little wet but since it's leather so I just wiped it off with my jersey and was good to go. Makes it easy maintenance! For the ladies I would highly recommend a split seat, your lady bits will thank you and you will notice you aren't as sore in the rear with the gel. It really helps with absorbing bumps when on roadbike. Highly recommend if riding long distances or even just frequently. -

Read More This is a very comfortable saddle, but not durable. I had no complaints for the first 2 years I used this saddle, putting about 1200-1500 miles on it. However, about 2 years in the stitching on top holding the leather panels together has come undone, leaving un unsightly gap that continues to grow. For the price of this item, I am very disappointed that it didn't hold up past 2 years of normal use. Furthermore, since two years have passed I am now out of luck for getting the product replaced. Bummer. -

Read More I did a lot of research and this saddle was highly rated on numerous sites. I purchased it and from the moment I got it I loved and disliked it. I recently did 32 miles and didn't experience any numbness, pain or soreness during or after the ride. VERY COMFORTABLE.I need to play around with the placement of the seat more because it rubs on my inner thigh... not sure if it is an issue with the saddle being too wide or if it's just the placement. It is slightly wider than other saddles and I have narrow hips. Other than a little rubbing on one leg, it's REALLY comfortable. -

Read More I've spent the last 6 months on a seat that was only comfortable for the first 10 miles. After that, no matter what I did, the discomfort wouldn't go away. I finally made the change to this fabulous seat, Selle Italia. From the first ride, it was clear that this seat was a winner. -

Read More I have tried several seats from Specialized to Terry. I was previous using a Specialized womens seat and was getting very uncomfortable in the first 10 miles of riding. I get uncomfortable in the upper pelvic region, not my pelvic bones. I tried the Selle Italia Gel Flow Saddle and found it had too much padding and was not comfortable for me. I upgraded to this seat and am so glad I did! I have about 60 plus miles on the seat so far and have had little to no discomfort.
Read More I was riding across the country. 40 days of riding. I was 10 days in and could barely sit. My seat was hurting my butt bones. I saw the female guide had this seat. With REi's wonderful return policy we thought, what the heck, if it is worse we can return it. Well it is so comfortable. I finished the ride with no pain and am still riding on it. I do wish it didn't have pink stitching but a black marker covered that pretty well.
