- Leather provides natural "give" by stretching and flexing, and because it doesn't need padding, it's a cool option in warm weather
- The saddle will age and break in over time
- Rear bag loops permit the use of a traditional English-style touring bag on the rear of the seat

Jun 16, 2011Brooks England Flyer
Read More My Brooks was comfortable from the very first ride, and has gotten just a touch more comfortable after only 100 miles or so of riding. I've used the Brooks saddle treatment but can't really say if that does anything except make it look even better. This saddle makes my old Trek 7300 actually look sharp. I'm not too fond of it not being waterproof but I'm sure it would take some moderate rain without a problem with the treatment applied. It is however, more slippery than my last saddle. It did squeak a bit at first - I thought the birds were chirping. I put a drop of oil on the springs and it's quiet now. Overall I'm very happy with this saddle.
