Read More We bought this jacket on sale in size 3T- purple. We were looking to replace a similar style REI jacket that we bought last year, which was an awesome green color, but it appears that jacket is no longer offered by REI. I thought this would be similar. It was more expensive than last year's REI brand jacket, but we bought it on sale so it was close in price. It is much thinner than the REI jacket, which makes it seem less warm, but being that I can't try it out for myself, I am not sure. We're opting to add a lightweight fleece underneath on cold weather outings to be sure she's warm enough. The nice thing about how thin/compact it is is that it's less bulky in the carseat and for running around. -

Oct 24, 2012Perfect temperature! Our 1 year old daughter stays very warm in this jacket, it's decievingly insulated. Also washes clean easily which is a necessity for a toddler's jacket!
Read More This is a great little jacket. However, if ordering online, know that REI's size chart and what they'll send you appears to be off by one size. Example: REI lists 12 month size as 20 - 25 lbs, 28 - 31 inches. If you order a 12 month size, you will get a 6-12 month jacket, which Patagonia lists as 15-20 lbs, 25-28 inches (corresponds with REI's 6 month size). Seems like this might have to do with REI's size chart missing the smallest size (newborn). As such, I'd guess that when you order a 0-3, you'll get newborn, when you order 3 month you'll get 0-3 and so on. Bottom line, be careful or buy in store so you know what you're getting. Great jacket + hassle of size confusion = 2 stars.
