Read More I am a loyal Patagonia client because I believe it is a quality brand. Well designed, well made, well intentioned. I'm sure Patagonia's intentions are still there (from their marketing of environmental consciousness and the idea of buying quality clothing that will last a while). However I am SUPER disappointed in them. This is my third item purchased from Patagonia that has disappointed me for its quality of craftsmanship. My five year old LOVES his jacket (and I do too, it is well designed, nice ward colors, good weight and easy to care for) and wears it quite regularly, but it is already starting to fall apart at the seams. It is very poorly constructed, just like mine (seems are ALSO falling apart). I think I will start buying my Patagonia gear used - it seems the earlier Patagonia gear lasts longer! -

Read More Last year we got the down sweater bunting for our then six month old. It kept him toasty during winter walks with the dog. This year we bought the down sweater toddler coat. It is lightweight, and yet keeps him very warm. We get compliments on it all the time. He is long waisted and had long arms and is 17 months old. The size two is a little long in the sleeves which is actually nice because they cover most of his hands. I think by the end of the winter he will just be growing out of it. Unfortunately, my son chews on the collar and has created a hole in the fabric. The fabric is thin, but that is what makes it safe for car seats and light weight. I will have to patch it before donating it at the end of the winter. Awesome coat. I also bought him Patagonias toddler hat which is also a great product. -

Read More I purchased this jacket for my 2-year-old DAUGHTER! The girls' colors were very feminine (and beautiful!), but when you're purchasing something like this, and plan on having additional children, it might be best to buy a gender-neutral color. So, I purchased the boys' red jacket and it's beautiful! Wonderful red and definitely works for both boys and girls. My daughter is tall and thin for her age. The jacket fit well; not too big and not too small. In fact, I do think she'll be able to wear it next fall and winter (2014-2015) as well. If anything, the torso is a little large, but if you plan on layering the jacket over other bulky items, it's good to have the spare room. This is a pricey jacket, so be smart about your shopping. -

Read More The Paintbrush Red is actually Construction Guy Orange and the tabs on the pockets and the interior lining is a Light Orange that contrasts the Bright Orange. Wasn't what I was expecting but we were getting this to replace our 2 year old's 18 month old size he's just now grown out of because we love this jacket so much. Hands down has a warmer/higher down fill content than any other toddler jacket out there and you can still put your kid in their carseat with it on. -

Read More My 2 year old son was super excited about the color, and so I ordered it. When we received it, we noticed that the down filling was entirely missing in 3 of the rows in the back! Also, the level of filling is very shallow compared to the down sweater my wife has in her down sweater. Basically, this jacket gives the illusion of being a winter coat, and does not protect the kids who wear them.
Read More We were looking for a coat that was lightweight to allow easy access to our 2 yr old's car seat but still very warm. This coat did not disapppint. He wore it all winter last season and played hard- no signs of wear and tear and no stains. We loved it so much, we bought another one this season in the next size up. He has been wearing it daily for 3 months and it continues to look brand new! Thanks!
