Read More My quest for the perfect camp pillow has ended. This pillow won hands down. First before I go any further, I would like to thank REI for such a great exchange policy. I went through at least 5 pillows over the last 6 months, and REI took back and exchanged for either a higher or lower priced pillow in my search. I finally decided to take the dive in the wallet for this pillow after so many have let me down in some form of fashion. I am so glad I did! My faithful couch pillow was my go-to-camp pillow for many years. The key things it reigned over all the pillows I tried were: it was a real pillow, it was light for being a real pillow, and it packed down amazingly well for being a real pillow. However, I would get displeasing growls from the lady of the house when I took it away from the couch. THIS PILLOW does all that my favorite couch pillow does with one exception; it packs down A WHOLE LOT BETTER! Ordinarily, I would take away a star for the price being high. This is the one time I will keep the star in place for the price because it is WELL WORTH the expense for the feel of being at home! -

Read More I was sick of using hard air pillows when I traveled or backpacked. This cost a bit, but I had a REI gift card so I took the plunge. Now that I've used it camping, on an airplane, in the car, and honestly just on my couch at home, I can honestly say I would have paid full price for this without the gift card. It's the best small pillow I've ever used because it feels like a real pillow without taking up hardly any space at all in a day-pack. I plan to even start putting it in my backpack and sleeping on campus. -

It fits in the hood of most sleeping bags and provides for a good rest. The only down-side (no pun intended) is the cost. I recommend the small pillow for backpacking and the larger pillow for camping/other uses. -

After considering and/or trying other options, this became more and more of a viable option and I ended up splurging. This pillow is worth every penny in my opinion. It is very lightweight, it is supportive and comfortable, and it compresses very well. This is a luxury item that I definitely use a lot. -

Read More I pair this puppy up with a REI Lite-Core seat cushion (which I carry to sit on when I am at rest). It fits perfect in the pillow case that is supplied with the pillow. It raises my head just like my larger pillow at home. It stuffs down next to nothing and weights very little. Since I have gotten older, I have been upgrading my sleep system. I went from a 3/4" pad to a 2-1/2" pad and this pillow along with the REI seat cushion makes my upgrade complete. Believe me when I say this, I have tried all of the pillows that REI sells and this combitation can not be beat. -

Read More I purchased this product for a trip to Europe and Northern Africa in December. I wanted something for the plane rides and hostels that might not have the best pillow. It was a good investment, even if I found the [$]price tag to be a bit steep for a travel pillow. It is super comfortable, as one would expect from down. I found myself using it even when I had other full-sized pillows, because I like sleeping on something that is low profile. My one complaint (aside from the price) is that the pillow does not come with it's own compression system. It's not as convenient to put in my backpack, and kind of pops out when I unzip my bag to find something.

Read More Lots of great reviews on this product online - however I found the pillow to have minimal support. I don't need much as a back sleeper, however I wish this pillow had more firmness to it. Also side sleeping doesn't work so well either, minimal neck support. The pillow is extremely light, soft and fluffy though, as down should be. Planning to stuff some clothes in the bottom of the pillow cover next time, which should help. I bought the medium size.
