Read More I use this primary on kayak trips. It's especially handy when camping on the beach and you need some small patch that is out of the sand. This table solved the problem of sand getting in the food during prep or during dinner. It also comes in handy when playing cards in the tent, or just having a flat surface in the tent to keep the refreshments on. So, generally, very handy item. On the con side, it's kind of bulky. It folds kind of oddly, and is not really that compact. It does fit OK in the kayak, but I cannot imagine taking it backpacking. Also, I use it on the beach a lot and the saltwater has already affected the rivets on the legs. I keep it well lubricated, but aluminum body and steel rivets have kind of a galvanic effect in sea air and near salt water. -

Read More I have seen this table at REI several times, and coveted it equally as much each time. However, I was a little hesitant to spend $30 on a itty bitty table. I ended up with a gift card and thought, what the hell? I am so glad I did get it, and looking back I wish I had bought it sooner! I enjoy playing cards etc. at the picnic table, but sometimes (especially when it's cold or rainy) crawling into the tent is such a goood thing. This table is the perfect size for diminos, cards, bananagrams whatever! It's also great for a cooking surface while backpacking. I have the jetboil stove and it is very sturdy. -

Read More I bought this for two purposes: an in-tent table (which obviously can't be very large) and a stand so our Primus stove isn't sitting on the ground. It worked perfectly inside the tent. As a camp stove table, I was a little dubious because the stove is wider than the table. But it worked perfectly on an uneven surface and was easy to shim so the stove was fairly level. It's easy to put together. Inserting the two rods is easiest if you have it on a very flat surface but even if you assemble it in mid-air, it goes together easily. -

Read More I bought this both to complement my growing stash of camp equipment, but also to use while motorcycle camping. I find the size and weight to be perfect. It is a great extra work surface when cooking, small side table while lounging around the fire, and makes a great little nightstand in the tent (if you have room). I never would have thought about something like this before, but now that I have it I find it a necessity on all my trips. The only minor gripe I have is sometimes it can be a pain to get the rods threaded through the holes to set it up. On mine one of the bungee cords that is internal to it gets in the way of the rod end, so I have to be a little patient to get it through. -

Read More I've used this in just about every type of circumstance, from Winter camping as a platform for my stove, to a footstool and dinner table while sitting low on the ground. This puppy packs small, is light, easy to set up and break down, and will quickly become your best friend on outings. It's the real deal and not a gimmick. I prefer equipment that works hard rather than hardly working. This fits the bill perfectly. -

Read More I've been using one of these for many years on twice annual BWCAW/Quetico trips and it's become a "must-have" item. Great for keeping stoves off the ground, having a level surface to work on, using in a tent as table when sitting out a storm, and much more. Really easy to set-up, clean-up, and pack. Definitely a recommended item for any camping trip but especially back-country.
