- Serfas RX saddle is medically tested and proven to reduce cycling-related discomfort and numbness
- A groove from tip to tail shifts rider's weight to inner thighs and buttocks, avoiding contact with the perineum, relieving pelvic discomfort
- Also, the majority of rider weight is placed on the rear of the saddle, further reducing pressure against the perineal artery
- Patented dual-density technology uses molded rubber inserts on base for shock absorption and an extra layer of Reactive Gel for added comfort
- Hard frame provides excellent support and allows for increased ventilation
- Men's saddle is slightly narrower than the women's, with a slightly longer nose

Read More This saddle hurts me where the leg joins the hip on the inside. To find the spot, bring a book up your leg to the point where the leg & hip join. It is not chaffing but applying pressure. Note that the sit bones feel fine as do the important parts. But the pain as described is too much for me and I wish I had given up trying before the trial period ended. I think the issue is that when I sit on the seat (about 185 lbs) the seat flexes outward causing the pressure at the leg hip joint area. You can test this by simply pushing your hands on the seat and watching it flex outward (making it a bit wider in the crotch area) If i ride farther forward it is uncomfortable but relieves the pain. If I ride where the sit bones are comfortable the pain returns. I fought with this seat for about 1,500 miles, trying a variety of positions before taking it off. I'm now searching for a replacement . BTW... I ride a REI Randonee touring style bike. -

May 19, 2014Great comfortI love this seat, I've used it in mountain and hybrid bikes with great results and comfort. It last quite a while (more than a year of daily use, and I'm heavy).

Read More I changed out my standard riding saddle for this product last year. I was training to ride the Pacific Coast Route. I had a lot less saddle sore issues after changing out into this product. It has been suggested not to use a saddle that compresses because it takes away some power in each pedal stroke but I think the overall comfort is well worth it if your doing long distant touring. I put over 5000 miles on my last saddle like this one and looking ahead to doing at least that again this year, in comfort.
Read More I just started training again using my mountain bike as a stationary trainer and the old seat was a pain. I couldn't get past 30 minutes on it my backside was so sore. After reading about the this saddle I decided to give it a try and what a difference. It's like night and day. This one is so much more comfortable I'm not looking to end each session as soon as possible any longer. I wish I'd changed it out sooner. It's affordable and well worth the change.
