Jetboil Zip Cooking System
- Jetboil Zip includes a 0.8-liter aluminum FluxRing® cooking cup with insulating cozy to keep your drinks and meals warm
- Same as the original Jetboil, the stove burner and cooking cup twist together to create a single convenient cooking system; disconnect the burner and cooking cup for storage
- FluxRing® heat exchanger on the bottom of the cooking cup creates excellent fuel efficiency; the Zip boils 0.5 liter of water in 2 min. 31 sec.
- Adjustable-flame burner is housed in a windscreen, reducing heat loss when a breeze picks up
- Drink-through lid features a pour spout and a built-in strainer
- Stove burner and 100g fuel canister (sold separately) stow inside the cup; lid snaps shut for storage
- Bottom cover unsnaps from the cooking cup to double as a measuring cup or bowl; measuring cup comes in handy when preparing meals and hot drinks
- Includes a stabilizer tripod that clips onto fuel canister (sold separately)
- Sewn-on tunnel pocket on the cozy holds your utensils or Jetboil hanging kit (sold separately)
- Jetboil Zip stove is compatible with all Jetboil accessories (sold separately)
- Due to flammable item shipping restrictions, we cannot sell fuel canisters online; they are available at REI retail stores
- Because this stove system has a capacity of less than 1 liter, the average boil time specification represents the time required to do 2 separate boils of 0.5 liter of water

Read More I love this system! Boils water quickly, everything fits inside the pot and its easy to light with a lighter, fire steel, match, etc. I didnt want the model with the lighter because, in my experience, they usually fail. Plus, I always keep several ways to start fire with me. Its very versatile, and the pot can be used to cook or boil water on a fire, without the stove. If I lose this one, or something happens to it, I would not hesitate to buy another. -

I use this for coffee in the morning and for making food in the evening - and it's been fantastic. Definitely worth getting the french press accessories. -

Read More I bought mine, and loved it. It worked great without any complaints. But then I was using it in a windier spot one day, and because I had the flame up high, the flame was blown to the side by the wind and it melted some plastic. It melted that angular part under the flame, that covers the fuel gauge. This meant that it wouldn't fit back in itself again. Exchanged it for a new one, no problems otherwise. :) -

Jan 8, 2016Compact, LightIt's pretty neat, heats stuff up well and doesn't take up a lot of pack space. I use for backpacking, wilderness breakfasts, and adventure motorcycling.

Read More Where to begin. It's not a bad stove. I had mine for about 7 years. I mostly just used the stove part with another pot. I did not like the pot it comes with. It burns food much too easily. For some reason it almost never burned food with the 1.5 liter aluminum pot I used. About the only reason I can think someone may want this stove is for the convenience of the integrated pot-stove. I never needed or utilized this feature. No has anyone I know who had a Jetboil. The tall pot actually made it more unsteady. It is very precarious without the foot on the bottom of the fuel tank especially if using a 4 oz. tank. The one benefit I liked was how quickly it heated up water. I think this was mostly due to the pot cozy. I decided since I mainly use just the pot to sell mine and switch to the MSR pocket rocket which is much cheaper. It is smaller and lighter. So I'm rating this a 3 star because I wasn't really impressed and it burns food so easily. There is a major learning curve to not burning food, unless u just reheat the water which it does very well. So if your looking for a stove for that special purpose than this is it.
Read More It's lower profile then the MSR. But not as wind proof . The Zip is the cheapest of the jet boil system, so you don't have a simmer option. You can turn it down, but it's made to boil water fast, which it does real well. For me backpacking only, weigh is a concern. So I'm not carrying a big fuel bottle to simmer food. We normally share items so only 1 or 2 carry a stove. Just boil water and pour it in the food bag. Next person can eat in about 2-3 minutes.
