Once you adjust the straps they are really easy to take on and off and they stay Snug on your foot. I like how you can wear socks when the weather gets cold. I wore these on a 7 mile backpacking trip where we hiked through the river and my feet were happy. Only gripe is that they are crazy heavy for sandles. They also take a bit of time to break in and feel normal. At first they are a little stiff but they do break in nice. My friend has. Pair that is nearly 20 years old and they look like new except for the wear on the outsoles. Happy to have them. -

Then I tried on a pair of Yampas and Voila! Exactly the fit I had hoped for! These sandals fit perfectly, and I wear them all the time. Definitely going to get a pair of Z2 Yampas in the Spring. -
Feb 21, 2014Most Uncomfortable Sandals I have ownedWorst, most uncomfortable sandals I have ever owned. Chaffed and caused blisters to the extent that I had to purchase replacements while traveling.

Read More Bought these because I thought they would be exact same fit as the Unaweep (only difference being the outersole material). i was disappointed to find the heel cup narrower on the Yampa vs the Unaweep. Also the front footbed is not as wide and rounded. I brought them back and exchanged for a Z/1 Unaweep which has a wider heel cup and a great fit.
Read More First sandals ever with arch support, comfortable and don't hurt my feet. Yes they are a bit clunky (heavy), but just skip the donuts and the chai double machiato and your overall weight of sandals will be insignificant.
