It would be better to invest in a nice lightweight towel that will last multiple trips. These work great for washing your face or feet at the end of the day, but doesn't do much for drying off after jumping in the lake or river. The package mentions they could be used as an emergency fire starter, so may keep a couple around just in case. -

Sure beats a cotton bandanna in this regard, much softer too. Effortlessly wrings dry in one hand. You cannot do that with a bandanna. Great product, however, durability is lacking. It will last for 2-3 hikes, but that's about it. Consider it disposable. -

Read More These little towels are amazing. You can take them along on a trip, planning to use them as your personal towel (you may want to get the appropriate size depending upon your planned use). Or you can carry them in your pack, car, purse, etc. for just in case you need a towel or small wash rag (again, depending upon the size you buy). They weigh practically nothing, but really come in handy when needed.
