Read More Software installs easily, nice interface with Garmin GPS units. Software is fairly easy to use. Resolution is very good (not quite as good as NG topos but for people who adventure in several states, this is the way to go). The only negative is the time it takes to transfer maps to the GPS unit. Make sure to allow several hours if you are transferring a lot of data. Not sure that I'll ever need North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa but it's nice to have them just in case. -

Read More software dose not lock cp's routs or other user date to the map. while viewing maps on computer checkpoints move as a zoom in and out they move over a mile... this is STUPID!!! and means there is no way to view treks on computer accurately. track log elevation changes as zoom level changes. this is very poor software. If you only want the maps on your gps this will work for you.
Read More Be prepared: It takes over 3 hours to download to your GPS. It is easy and fast to download the disc to your computer. Putting it on your the GPS is not very intuitive, but is easy if you go to map install icon on your program files. Be prepared for it to take about 3 hours. Just do when you have time to do other things. It will take a bit to boot up your GPS the first time but it works well. I bought an 32 GB micro SD card and put both the west coast and north central maps on it. The joys of wanting maps on the WA & ID border. I recommend using the CDs rather the already loaded micro SD cards.
