Nov 30, 2013Slow but SteadyThe is a great rear tire for loaded panniers. On the front I'd pick a 1/8 or 1, perhaps a Pansela. For the price, this is a good buy.

Sep 15, 2011Great Tire ValueI bought these tires to use on my older Shogun steel frame 27 inch touring bike. They have held up well after 500 miles of fully loaded riding. No flats as yet. Great tire for the price.

Read More I've been using these tires on my vintage Bridgestone 400 for about a year. I commute 16.5 miles one-way throughout the year (with panniers loaded with a laptop, change of clothes, food and tools) and these tires have proven to be reliable and rugged, rain or shine. I've had very few flats with them. Previously, I used a similarly priced pair of Forte tires that at least one or two flats per month. Although, I don't race, these tires seems reasonably fast and I use them for occasional recreational weekend rides. These are my tires of choice. They are a great value.
